Touchdown Entertainment has created a mod pack featuring 3 multiplayer maps with two new game modes, Derez and Team Derez (that's Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, for the tronically-challenged), available for download at www.tron20.net.

Important Notes:

1) You must have MS Windows XP installed

2) You must have the v1.030 update installed.

3) Your previously saved games will not work once the mod pack is installed.

4) This version is US English only - the International version will be released shortly.

5) You will not see multiplayer games running the v1.030 update, only multiplayer games with the XP mod pack (aka v1.040) installed.

I just found out that my website at http://scorpius.spaceports.com/~tron which hosted the v1.040 update installer for all Windows versions was disabled because it exceeded the monthly bandwidth limits of 1GB per month. Given that the update is less than 20MB, apparently a lot of Tron 2.0 users needed it. (See, BVI?! Making the update exclusive to Windows XP was a stupid thing to do.)

So, if you need the v1.040 update installer for all versions of Windows, you can download it from http://www.3dgamers.com/dl/games/tron2/Thirdparty/tron-update_v1x3-noxp.exe.html .

I would also like some additional mirror sites though because 3DGamers' sites get maxed out quite frequently. If you host the file, please respond in this thread with the download location so people will know where to get it.

That's all you need. It updates any version to the latest, with the new Derez gameplay.

Hmm? I don't understand exactly what you're trying to say. Are you saying there are no players online when you tried to use multiplayer, after installing the update, or something else?

If you mean there are no players online, have patience . . . the number of players for is pretty small, but there's still activity almost every night.

What country are you from? I get the impression you're not from North America. I'm wondering if other countries are up to date on the fact that the latest version of is v1.042. Unless someone else is also running the same version, they cannot see you online. Everyone must be using the same version to see each other.
