Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I haven't really made much progress with this, been busy with some other stuff as of late.

I'd like to use Unity and do the whole thing from scratch. Gives me a lot of opportunity to learn more about game development and coding. It also removes limitations that would come with a game engine designed specifically for 2D fighting games.

Unless you plan to use 3-D models in a 2D environment, similar to Street Fighter IV, then maybe. Or use the "Soul Calibur" model of weapon to weapon fighting in a 3-D platform.
It's something to think about. |
The idea I have is 3D environments and characters, but 2D gameplay. This way, I can better emulate the visual style of Tron Uprising.
