Tron Ares 1st anniversary

on Saturday, October, 10, 2026 12:43 AM

I hope all is well with my friends here on T.S. and other fan communities.

While I do feel sad that the movie was too short (Legacy was also too short), I still enjoyed it over all.

I will be enjoying a rewatch this weekend with family and hope you have fun as well.

Life is short and impermanent.

I'm cold and calculating. Don't press my buttons.

I haven't had a chance to watch it since I got the 4K Bluray. Maybe this coming weekend I'll find some time to rewatch this.

Has anyone tried doing a Tron Triple Feature? I know they were doing that in theaters for a bit around the time Ares came out.

I was disappointed with it. For 15 years to work on it, I think the story and script could have been much better. I'm glad it worked for you, though

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^

Hi Traahn. I hope all is well. It's great to speak to you!
While I did love the movie, I agree that it could have been so much better for the amount of time that was spent on it. I heard the original Tron 3 was going to be about getting Tron from the destroyed grid in Legacy. I don't mind fresh new plots but we didn't even get a true cameo of him or Quorra.

As we all know by now Disney loves to water-down, cut, and under fund anything that isn't part of their money rollers. When Ares first came out my main complaint (mentioned a lot by others as well on discord.) is about how short the movie is compared to the amount of time spent making it. Yes, blah, blah, from Disney/movie theaters only want things strictly two hours or less because they supposedly get more money for it. What about the fact that a lot of people are too busy to go the movie theaters now? They will stream it at home.

I swear there is at least twenty minutes of footage/story cut out and like Legacy, they will never let us see it the way it was intended. They spent so much time making the visuals for the old grid area for them to only use it for five minutes.

Some avengers movies are almost three hours long and same with some of the Star Wars movies. They're willing to dump so much money and time on those but Legacy and Ares didn't deserve the same? Boo.

Hi again .DLL. Sorry for the late reply.
Same. I had some changes to the plans I had this month, but I still managed to rewatch Uprising. I'll actually be rewatching Ares tonight Hopefully or sometime soon.
I looked locally and couldn't find any triple features during this month. The closest I could come to that is going on Discord and watching a live stream with others. Fans supporting each other as usual.
