I would only relate this response to product the disneystore carries and not necessarily other retailers.

I would say yes and no, if something is popular enough the disney store continues to get new items that are themed in that property. Look at cars, the last movie was years ago and they still continue getting new stuff in for it all the time, now another big push will happen with cars2. Tron on the other hand seemed to have a lukewarm reception so I doubt it will have such residual items like other more successful properties. There will probably be some merch but not any noticeable amount until the toon hits. Bigger the hit the longer the run of merch flows until the property gets another boost.

I would have thought the tron merch run would've lasted at least through the dvd release.

Where did you see these prototypes? I emailed Spin Master about the future of the line and they said they can't discuss it. hrumph!

I'll believe it's the end when the Series 3 that was solicited is cancelled.
