I've been visiting the four Targets along my commute route since January, waiting for new product or clearance. While I've seen some movement in product, we are not seeing a restocking here (Sacramento). In fact, when I approached two employees stocking toys at two of the stores, I was told the following: "We don't intend on seeing a restocking of Tron toys." In fact, both stores remarked that the current price reductions were actually non-posted clearance prices.

I've been trying to determine the truth of these statements by reading all the great posts on this site. Based on what I read here, would it be reasonable to determine that these employees are merely BS-ing me? True, I haven't seen new product here in quite some time, and everyone's backstocks are empty. But we've also seen the new round of 2-packs coming out in other markets, although not anywhere near us.

I'm a newbie here, so I want to make sure I'm not giving up the fight before my Targets become awash in Series 3 sets. Any insights would be appreciated.

Target has already started clearancing the Recognizer playset. I got one in Atlanta GA for $5 and another person here posted they found one for $5 as well.

The big sale is over but isn't the sale for 2" figures still going on? I hope so, I haven't finished getting my S1 stuff.

Maybe it has to do with the particular store/area, depending on how sales are going?

I've only checked one of my two local Target stores (eastern Kansas). Endcaps have been removed, no re-stock. 2 inch figure sets and AirHogs cycles are on sale.

Around Chicago - endcaps removed, stuff back to regular price. Some Rinzler and Sam Deluxe Discs left - no Kevin Flynn. Some Series 1 Target exclusives left.

Awaiting Series 3 maybe around home video release?

Did you see Sac State showed Legacy on Thursday? I'll be that was a trip - probably lots of Tron-ees there! Might have to get a release party together once the DVD is released!!

Endcaps here are gone as well. The strange thing is that several items here appear to still be on sale, even though they no longer have it displayed. Try scanning a couple of things when you all get the chance.

I don't buy the video release sale thing though - imagine how low everyone's stocks will be when April 5th rolls around. I'll bet they'll start clearancing things soon - it's Target's MO to clearance in the 3rd-4th month the toys are released. It's the same in Canada. The Toys R Us near me has a full section of Iron Man stuff that hasn't been marked down or gone on sale for ages.
