hmmm.. never thought about this! Nothing like a dead battery leakage. I don't open any of my Tron merchandise, I appreciate them better unfettered. The toys they make these days are made in higher quantities. The toys from the 80's fetch a decent amount of money sealed, but these legacy toys 10-15 years down the line might be worthless. As for an investment, it would be better purchasing toys that are limited editions.

Yes, nowadays with batteries. What do you do?

I kept some Kodak Pocket Cameras NISP and the batteries did leak - but that's for AA's...

These button batteries who knows? I understand it also has to do with the type of battery...
