I can't say I agree with when it did. For one, the shot where sam is zapped into the computer has to be the best effect in the whole movie (just about) which would have looked great in and made the best use of 3D. Yet it didn't. Why not? Plus Sam is already in the Tron universe for a few seconds before the 3D kicks in. Why isn't it 3D from the second he makes it on to the Grid? Also, the act of him running out of the aracade and into the streets of Tron City isn't especially remarkable in any way. But you couldn't wait until the recognizer was desc ending on him either because he would have been in the Tron universe for several seconds without 3D by then. So I say it shoulda started when he was first zapped in.
Of course others will say that when you go to a 3D movie, you expect a 3D movie, so all of it should have been in 3D. I understand where they're coming from too. abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I think the 3d should have started the moment when Flynn and Clu merged. It would have symbolized the virtual and real worlds becoming one.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

3-D should've started when the movie began, and Sam getting beamed to the grid should've been a longer and cooler sequence, imo.
Tron Legacy's 3-D begin != Wizard of Oz moment.
T:L's 3-D wasn't the greatest, in general.

Now are you guys talking about regular 3D or Imax 3D?
I have yet to see an Imax 3D movie that wasn't great 3D!

I'm not always all that impressed with 3D, period, to be honest. Perhaps I don't get the full effect because I have to fit the 3D glasses over my regular ones and the focal length is off, I dunno.
I don't recall when it kicks in, but if they wait until he figures out he's not in the user world anymore, I understand why they did it that way.
However, the Encom Tower scene would've been awesome in 3D, all the faraway shots and shots of him looking down...

I thought they got it right. The conversion from 2D to 3D seemed like a homage to the Wizard of Oz film, in which the "real world" was shot in Black & White, but Oz is in color. While it doesn't have the same wild impact, it has a subtle psychological effect even if you aren't consciously aware of it.

Believe it or not, the first 3D effect in Legacy is during the opening sequence, when the light particles are streaming and changing the electronic grid into city streets. Some of the lights actually come "toward" the viewer. The next one is right thereafter, when the TRON sign rotates and sizzles past the audience.
Sam becoming digitized was a 3D effect, as was much of the Recognizer sequence, like when he looks down through his feet and says, "He did it ... I'm on the Grid."
If we're talking favorites, I really enjoyed the 3D FX of Flynn's disc, when CLU plugs it in to his command ship, and also Quorra's DNA programming sequence on the Solar Sailer was amazing.
For some reason, the 3D flying discs during the disc wars were my least favorite.

I thought one of the coolest 3D shots was when CLU and co jump from the command ship and materialize their light jests from their batons. The way the camera then follows the light jets through the various structures and then both down to and over the flight deck was just waaaay cool. You have to admit that the 3D also helped you to understand just hjow big the arenas where and how many people half a millkion looks like, and yes that is the official number: the light cycle grid arena held 500,000 peo....I mean...programs. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
