RE: TRON: Catalyst Demo now available on Steam on Saturday, June, 21, 2025 3:35 PM
Thanks for reminding. Looked it over again, and it's still a hard pass for me, just like that one narrative storybook one (TRON: Identify?) was, unfortunately. Looks to me like a bare minimum budget type of Tron game again. I'll keep waiting for a bigger budget FPS campaign Tron game in the spirit of, say, Tron 2.0. And one with enough of a budget to look and be good, but not so big budget that it has to do all the AAA gaming tropes to recoup and justify its huge budget. Hoping Tron: Ares does well in the box office to help propel a real Tron game where we can explore the universe in an adventure.
I want to experience the Tron world at a much deeper level than parkour and hack-and-slash disc gamey battles. I don't want to feel like I should put a quarter into my PC every time I play a Tron game.
Tron movies aren't reduced to simplistic action for 2 hours with no engaging story, adventure, or exploration. And they wouldn't even want to do that. So why are the games pretty much that, I wonder, for much longer than a movie

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^ |
