Eh, I don't think that's necessarily wise.

The guy Paramount got to write Star Trek: Nemeses is supposedly a real fan, and he wrote the absolute worst ST movie to date, bar none.

We fans may think we know a good direction to take a property in, but that doesn't make us right.
