To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

You know those coleco games? Like the one featured in Gremlins and flying around ebay??

The mini arcade games like ms. pacman and frogger and such?

I'd like to take a PDA (and some extras-as needed) and house it in a replica of one of those coleco--game houses and get some arcade emulation going there! (I don't know how much PDA's can store size-wize, but it'd be cool if you could hook up a HD with "expansions" or just the whole deal!)

I figure there could be a couple of USB ports on the side for keyboards and joysticks, cause there would probably only be enough room on the "system" for a joystick and a few buttons.

It would be sweet to take Tron to the lunchtable!

Anyone think they could fashion one up? I know I'd like to!

Hey Sketch. IO don't know if you knewe this. But in that tabl topversion of Tron. The guy actually used an old notebook and a Mame emulation program for it. Which is cool with that type of set up there.

There is actually a Mattel LED games emulator for Pocket PCs called LedHead available. I play Mattel Football on mine a lot.

Is Mattell Football the one where you have to run your little red LED blip up the screen like 5 times to score a touchdown? I used to love that game!

Oh wow, just had a flashback... I used to love some submarine handheld game. Ha! Found it!!! http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Mattel/Sub.htm
I don't remember what the point of the game was, just remember being entertained for a long time Seems like you had to try and outrun/outmaneuver torpedos or something? Not sure.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

That's the one. LedHEad does most of the old Mattel classics in one game. You even get the one that was supposed to be Battlestar Galactica but ended up as Space War or something like that. I forget the name. Free download, well worth it if you have a PPC.

Flynn plays one of those in the movie, when they're up in his loft asking if he's the mystery hacker.

That table top TRON is a work of art - very very slick and i want one!!!

As far as the Coleco/PDA hack, i had the same idea (sort of) but was going to house it in a wood built cabinet (Like a mini version of what this guy did) - Was also thinking of making a housing for my GBA now that TRON and Discs of TRON are on there - but the more I thought it thru, the less practicle it became since you need to use the L and R buttons on the top of the GBA.

I never had a Coleco table top - just TOMYTRONIC TRON and an off brand helicopter game called Chopper Strike. Still got 'em.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Sweetness!! I want one!! The only time I ever got to try that game, it was on a broken arcade machine, and it kept turning off at the end of level one.... I can't seem to find another arcade that has it. Anyone know where I can download it??

This is the link for LEDHead if you want to play all the old Mattel games. He has versions for Windows, PPC and Palm on his site.

Two change machines! He apparently opens it during the week as a working arcade. This man may be my god!

I love the carpet and the blackligthing. Too bad some of the pics are so fuzzy. I'd love to see some detail on those machines.

That custom table top kicks ass!

The Blip hand-held game brings back memories. I didn't have that one, but had something similar. It was a racing game, and it was mechanical as well. It had a track on a reel that passed under the car, and you moved the car back and forth to avoid other cars and obstacles. This game used batteries instead of a crank, though. I remember the batteries would always run down pretty quickly.

I can't believe these games were mechanical! I wonder why they weren't made electronic instead. The mechnanisms must have been fairly complicated, and would break down pretty fast in a child's hands. Maybe that was the idea? To make you buy another one when it broke?
