Great - "The Farmer in the Dell".

That's NOT the song I wanted stuck in my head!

And yet there it is... looping over and over and over.

I guess I'll just have to enjoy the insanity of it!

Actually, this rhyme gives rise to the great saying "The cheese stands alone", which has been interpreted as being basically the leader who is standing for his/her own ideals, stand for them alone.

I don’t think that was the intention of the "farmer in the dell" nursery rhyme which seems to be a more idyllic outlook on pastoral life, but who knows what hidden meanings lurk in nursery rhymes.

Allow me to push you from the realm of wanting Vodka to the realm of *NEEDING* vodka. Simultaneously erasing any chance I ever might have had for a Political future.

Me and my New Dell.

I just picked up two dells over here before I got laid off from Pratt. Cheap too 2 of them. Looking once I get a job here. I might get 1 HP visual C360 over. Just for sake of having a HP-UX machine in hand. And install Solaris 10 on it as well. Am I a really wacky and crazy guy here.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

A friend is considering buying a new Dell XPS of some sort for gaming, but I'm trying to get him to instead build his own as it would be cheaper. Any suggestions?

Riparian - I love your avatar. And did you know tomorrow we all get to celebrate your first rez-day here? Yup. You've been at the Sector for one year, effective tomorrow. We are holding a rez-day bash extravaganzaa, complete with vodka (supplied by Nikster), and utter randmoness (from DaveTRON and TheReelTodd)! I will end up playing Atari Flashback II on the side.

PS: Compucore will celebrate by somehow figuring out how to extract 32 extra megabytes of RAM out of a 64MB chip. gRiD_89a will talk your ear off discussing the ins and outs of a Dell PC and how to troubleshoot one. And MutoidMan will challenge you to a lightcycle race on the game grid; but keep in mind that his computer probably runs faster than yours and he will win every time!

PPS: I'm not purposely leaving Boingo_Buzzard and Flynn 1978 out of this, I just can't think of anything right now. Perhaps they will just be watching everyone making a fool of themselves where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^

What does he want to do with it first off with the computer. Does he want a gaming machine, something for some basic text editing word processing etc, or an all out ultra high end dual cpu, 3-6 gigs of ram, raid 5 out the wazoo. type of thing. Ask him what he plans to do with it. You be surprised what they might want to have.

Traahn remember those ram doublers software packages that they used to have for the MAC I believe or was it for the windows environment? Can't remember off hand for which one it was for.
