I think what I did in the past was announce that I had joined a server and "officially" started "FNF" on some random server. The announcement post was usually here or on the "Meet me on the Game Grid" thread.
I'm not doing any scorekeeping until the summer, when I have less to worry about and when more people are on.

Well, it is kinda close to summer and since I totally forgot about last Friday, I'll postpone the FNF date to May 9th.
And yes, I know, you did these in the summer due to that time having more people on. BUT.... does it ALWAYS have to be in Summer? 
So... I'll get on a server with the lowest Latency and we'll get it started.
Mainly, I will be getting on Deathmatch servers. But, we could always take a vote on if we want to switch to Lightcycles.

Doesn't always have to be in the summer, but keeping track of scoring isn't really that fun when you've only got 2-3 people on. 
tcrcTiger, just join the server you see me on during a Friday night. I'll add you to the scores list. 
Ford, I think it'd be a good idea to do a poll in this thread prior to the start of the competition, in order to fairly choose a gamemode. Last year, Jademz set up a Friday Night Fights dedicated deathmatch server for me, which I still apreciate, hehe.
KA Mod will make FNF 10X moar win, as well as TRON 2.0 as a whole.

Well, since we're having one tonight and hardly anyone has responded, I think that voting might be cutting it close. So, I think it's best we do the rotating thing.
Also, I will be recording tonight's FNF and posting it on YouTube. I guess we'll start on DM, as my computer lags out on me whenever there's a map rotation on LC. It'll be kinda experimental at this point., been a year since I've done this, lol.

Didn't really go as planned. Oniell Ford was hosting and he started having bad technical issues. I had to leave, too. The thing just kinda fell apart after that. 
But hey, maybe we can get on tomorrow.

Well, unfortunately, it didn't really work out, just like last time. OniellFord was having key binding issues, so if you can help him on that in this thread. tron_man_63304 had a nasty thunderstorm in his area, which was interfering with his wireless internet or something. Me and Jademz got a few rounds in, though, so that was fun.

Good times. I hope O'neill gets his computer working, he tried for like an hour to get the keyboard problem working.
What type of computer do you have O'neill? The order in which I check my computer is this:
1: is windows corrupted? yes/no
2: does the problem effect all programs? yes/no
3: if I look in the admin tools, and see problems in the event viewer, and research the code, does it match what others have problems with? yes/no
4: can restoring windows resolve the problem? yes/no
5: does the computer have issues in other circumstances? yes/no
6: if I download MBSA 2.1 from microsoft, find and correct the problems, AND get a registry mechanic, to fix errors in my registry, does that help? yes/no
7: if I suspect the keyboard/mouse running on USB internally could be bad, and try a standard KB/Mouse and the problem exists: GET A MOTHERBOARD.
a power loss of anykind, be it shutdown, small brown-outs by loss of power, or surge from lightning, even degradation of equipment such as a PSU going from before mentioned causes, may be enough to mess up a motherboard, RAM, PSU, and processor.
Don't let it get you down though. I've lost about 10 computers to power issues. each having variants of problems, but the end result was that I replaced the mobo/CPU/RAM/PSU. in that order.
My house was built in 1954 if that's a clue to my F'd up problems.
