The + zooms in - zooms out, and you can only zoom while the LOL is equipped.

you can also use the scrol wheel on the mouse
you have zoom on the lol and theres also the triangulate subroutine that you can equip and zoom any time

You playing the game on a laptop/notebook/netbook?
The game defaults to assigning the zoom to the + and - keys on the number pad. But a lot of notebooks, etc. don't have a number pad.
So you have to go into Options > Controls > Configure controls > View from the main menu. Then you can change the keys used to the normal + and - keys and the mouse scroll wheel.
And you can zoom with any weapon, as long as you have the Triangulate subroutine installed in Jet's memory.
