This is off-topic, but you know who you remind me of? Not sure if you ever met him, but his name was Tron Unit.

You two talk very similarly. He hasn't posted in a while, either.

I picked up a couple more Clu bikes that were on clearance. I opened one of them up and the batteries were not run down. The switch was turned off when it was packaged at the factory. The batteries were fresh and brand new. The boxes have some slight shelf wear but it's good to know they all will work.

I hit my local Wal-Mart and they had 4 Clu bikes left. 3 were beat up pretty bad but the 4th was mint with battery protector.

It's been a hit and miss for me but I was happy to have found that one. I gave the one I had previously picked up online to my daughter who's becoming quite the fan herself.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I've got to return three Clu light cycles, it's beyond lame. I've got two left with tabs and I'm scared to test them in the case that they might be broken too.

One just eats batteries. It will work, for about an hour, then it starts making strange noises and later in the day is just dead. It was the first one I opened. I thought the batteries it came with were just dead but was sorely mistaken as it's eaten 4 more pair.

The other two 'work' in demo mode. You would think they are fine and you'll open them up. Then you'll switch them to 'play' mode and they make one noise and do not react at all to the wheels being turned. Great. So they have to go back as well.

Now, I'll have to test them in the store (if I can still find some.) It's going to be really difficult to test this toy without ripping open the packaging. I've got a lot of cash comparatively invested in this toy and have yet to find one for myself. Just a warning, if you see one in the store that doesn't work at all I wouldn't buy it. And if possible, I'd try to worm my hand into the package and switch the switch to play mode, and test the wheels before I'd buy it.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I found with the Clu deluxe cycle I have, you sometimes have to press the rider down onto the bike to activate the switch under his chest before it'll do the light+sound when you spin the front wheel - that's just a poor design.
I was close to completely taking the whole bike apart because of the switch issue and the poor amount of LEDs to light the bike up, but at the time my mind was on other things and didn't want to break it out of not concentrating enough so snapped it back together for investigating another day. Taking Clu off the bike was difficult enough.

And why doesn't Clu's Light Cycle have the proper horizontal front lights?order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Once again, you're the man.

Fixed my cycle, now I've just got the one cycle to return. I completely forgot about the switch that the rider is supposed to activate. I haven't even removed any of my riders, I'm kinda scared I won't be able to get them back in lol.

BTW none of the american Clu bikes have the proper lights. I didn't notice it until someone here posted about it but now it bugs me. Makes me appreciate the Recogniser plastic Clu bike, it looks noticably more authentic than my generic diecasts.

At least the full size bike has better more accurate articulation in the details of the front wheel well, the way it wraps around the rider and the air brakes. You'll see once you get Sam's bike that they are pretty different from each other. But it does suck that they didn't go all the way with the proper headlights, my guess is because they light up they just kept the electronics inside the exact same. Doesn't seem like it would take that much modification though.

Dang, still need one. I asked a friend of mine to check Wally of Antioch for me and he said they didn't have anything Tron at all. Also went to my local Disney store today and all they are are series 1 stuff. Don't wanna pay overinflated prices for these. :-(

You aren't going to find Clu bikes at Disney, they are Walmart exclusive and a lot of Walmarts clearanced their stock two months ago.

But some didn't, look around and you might find one.

There's a local walmart near me that has a bunch of the Clu bikes on clearance for $10 Canadian. Some of them don't even have their 'try me' tabs pulled yet!

Guys, I really appreciate the offers. If you're serious about this I'll take you up on them. :-). If these bikes were abundantly available at Walmart way back when and I had known that Spinmaster would eventually pull the plug on the TL line I would've gotten 3, with 2 to be converted to a Rinzler and a Sentry cycle.

I checked the 2 Walmarts that are located near me.

One has the bikes (both Sam and Clu) on for $10 each.
The other has them at regular price for $21

But I live in Canada.

That's why you buy two. One to open up and one to keep minty fresh in the box. If your original one breaks somewhere down the line, or you lose it, you'll have another newer one to play with. Plus, it helps the economy because you're spending more. Also, the aliens in my head told me to. Okay, I'm just starting to make stuff up now. Just ignore me.

What is the point of collecting something so It can sit in a box. It is a toy and is made to be played with.

It's 'collecting', I never play with my toys.

I wish my dumbass wasn't collecting baseball cards as a kid and collected Mint on Card GI Joes, Star Wars, and Mego toys unopened. These things are worth a fortune now, highly sought after. Spending $5 on a toy in the late 70s and 80s are fetching thousands now.

Same here. I generally don't open my toys unless it's for a very good reason (such as removing batteries from Tron figures so they don't corrode ) There are times I wish I would open them and enjoy them more (putting on display etc), but I know that any potential value of the figures will be reduced dramatically. But then, I really don't want to sell them anyways.

One thing though, toys nowadays will not be worth what MISB/MISP toys used to be in the 70's/80's. Too many people now are collecting toys and keeping them MISB compared to the past. That's primarily why toys from back them are worth so much more.

Anyways, I checked the Wal marts near me and they still have some $10 Clu Light cycles, but the other Wal mart is still charging full price. What gives?on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Even more reason to open those babys and display them. Rather than wasting your money on two of the same thing and letting one rot in the closet, basement, whatever.....collecting dust and sitting there being all worthless. Besides, I have an excuse to play with toys as I have two sons.

I collect my toys. Except for Rinzler's disc. I opened up that one up. I've kept my Rinzler S2 closed as well as my Kevin Flynn Cycle as well as my Flynn Lives ARG pin and the Graphic Novel posters closed.

I've Worn all 3 of my Tron shirts and I've read my Tron issue of Rolling Stone

What's the point? If the world ended tomorrow you would have never really enjoyed them. They sit around doing nothing. Mine sit on a bookshelf and when my son comes in the room they are in he plays with them. He will ask me if he can play with one or two of them and I give them to him to play with. I enjoy them as you do w/o the display plastic and advertising jargon in the way and my son has them to use for what they are really intended for. Thats what collecting, in my OP, is all about. I understand you view, but all you have there is a mini toy aisle in your closet, basement, etc. Why even look if you can't touch!

You pose a valid point, but I really only bought it for a small collection. I don't play with toys. I have a PS3 to play with

Because they want to. If they want to keep em there, you don't need to explain to them why they're wrong to do that.

Gibson Wrote:when my son comes in the room they are in he plays with them. He will ask me if he can play with one or two of them and I give them to him to play with.

Thats admirable. I collect toys because my dad collected hot wheels in the 90s and got me hooked a lil kid. But when we moved onto Star Wars, and I moved onto my own thing, he never let me play with what he had open. I know why he didn't, but as a kid, that made me a lil sad. Once I'm a father, I intend to allow the open toys to be played with... but under the understanding that they are treated well, and all accessories must be accounted for when done :P I'm a bit anal-retentive.

That said, I opened all my TRON Legacy toys, but I kept the boxes for the vehicles I keep a lot of my Star Wars in package though. I've got the semi-rare Boba Fett vintage series with foil package up there as well as my ROTS sneak-peak, black clone pilot variant, clone commanders and Target exclusives. It really varies what I deem to be opened and whats left in package.

Are you referring to the RC bikes, or is there another Clu bike that I'm not aware of?
