Thanks man. WAY easier to line it up outside the jet, and roll or bend it into the slot, then put the holder back in the plane and screw back down. NOW it's assembled!!!

I just saw it for the first time today at TRU. I would love to buy it , but its size is a deterrent. I'm thinking about it though.

Thanks I had to do this to get my back wings on. It was tough but they finally went on.

I just saw another two at a local tru, nice condition boxes too.

To me the worst part about it is the requirement for 3 AAAs with such a minimal light feature (that like you said only runs when the button is pressed, and there are two different buttons for two different light sources.)

Seems excessive for such a pitiful light feature.

I think the spirit and design of the toy is good though. It would have been easy to design some sort of 3rd gunner cockpit that didn't fit with the movie design at all. Instead they made a good compromise by allowing the gunning aspect (and 3rd man aspect) while at the same time keeping the same overall lines as seen in the movie.

But yeah your negatives are definitely there. It's sad that the most expensive toy in the 4" line also has the least 'bells and whistles.' You would expect it to be the other way around.

If I were a parent buying these for my kids it would look like a rip just judging from the box.

I decided to check my local TRU - they only had Series 1 stuff FOREVER and no series 2 stuff at all- but decided to check as I was passing by.

I got scared - didn't find them in their normal spot. They had moved the section. Still, all the same Series 1 stuff, but they only (but *finally*) got one Series 2 toy in:

Three Man Light Jets

The shelf of them at the bottom was empty - except for the last one (got it!)...
