This post is a longshot to save the toy line especially the core figures. Everyone on this site please take note call Spin Master (1-800-622-8339) in US or go to their website and email customer service at www.spinmaster.com If there is an overwhelming surge of of emails and calls with concerns reguarding core figures maybe this will reach out beyond the customer service reps and make it to the top. I feel series 3 n 4 core figures belong to us the true fans of TRON LEGACY. I was taught to exhaust all your resources before you give up....so Ive sent the first email. This may be beating a dead horse too but its a shot in the dark.

It's futile. Customer service reps will just delete it. We can try (I did) but really.... don't get your hopes up. This is capitalism. Money > People.
Regardless, I'll try.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I wonder if spin master would ever consider an online, direct sale, or specific online retailer for a smaller run of the figures ... just to let collectors have castor and whatever else was already tooled.

The only thing that will "save" the line is IMMENSE sales numbers.
I am curious as to what would happen if after the DVD/Blu release, sales went through the roof. Would they pump out more product? Or is it just done either way? Spin master has lots of other toy lines, so they may not care anymore.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Nice thought, but I don't think it would amount to much.
Even though I think Mattel's distibution practices leave a lot to be desired, this is why I would've like to have had them do the line.
Not only would we have gotten better figures, in my opinion, but also? There would still be chances to catch stuff on Matty.com - shoot, they were still coming out with Batman figures a year after the dvd released.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Crazy talk! I'd rather not have figures be made than have Mattel make them.
I was actually really happy with Spin Master's core figures and vehicles. They got me into the line despite my complete apathy towards 3.75" figures.

With the economy the way it is, people can't afford to spend $12 a ticket at the box office, more people are red boxing and netflixing their movies now. I think there are a lot of people that will see Legacy for the first time when released on DVD. Then what happens when people want the toys after seeing the DVD? Will they still be available in April?
Also, how do sales figures work into people adding Tron Legacy to their Netflix queue? Does Disney get a cut of it everytime it is watched?

It's a nice gesture, but toy companies cannot cater to a few collectors. Unless there is a Tron buying frenzy out there, Spin Master will pull the plug on the line.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Mattel owns all trademarks to Masters of the Universe because it is a house brand. Mattel would not pay Disney a license to produce limited collectible figures for Tron, in fact, Mattel actually passed on the license.

They do that very thing with Ghostbusters which they have to pay Sony for the rights. They also have to tool new parts for each release. With Tron Spin Master already has the figures ready to go, it's just a matter of doing a small production run on them. Why not try to recoup some of the costs of making those prototypes in the first place? It always blows my mind when a toy company will spend the money to tool a figure and then never release it.

Well first of all Mattel passed because they didn't think Tron would be a profitable license for them.. Ghostbusters has not only cult appeal but child appeal having been an animated cartoon. Second, production runs of a prototype are enormously expensive to commit to factory orders with minimum runs in the thousands so it's better to eat the R&D costs then to commit to production runs if they could't garauntee they could fulfill them. He-man, Ghostbusters and Batman have proven they can fulfill that kind of demand. Matty made the second series of Dark Knight Movie Masters as online exclusives with Toys R Us after retailers like Walmart and Target cancelled their orders. Spin Masters likely does not have the same kind of distribution fulfillment set up like Matty has to offer them as online exclusives so it wasn't worth it for them to go to production with Series 3 if they couldn't get retail distribution and would put them in the red.

Does Tron not have cult appeal? Cult appeal and a new movie that's fresh in everyone's mind. A 20 year old animated GB series isn't bringing in any kid buyers, and I highly doubt any kids are going on MattyCollector.com every other month and buying these Ghostbuster figures at $30 a pop anyway. It's a licensed line sold exclusively online for a nitche collectors market. There's no reason SM couldn't do the same with Tron and make a small profit, especially when the figures are already tooled and ready to go. End of line |
