Just thought I'd say hello. Some of you may already know me from Youtube but if not, feel free to check out my channel. I've done 25 reviews on different Tron Legacy items so hopefully you'll gain some insight as to the positives and negatives that Spin Master did.

Greetings! Welcome to the community!

Actually, I had already pointed out one of your reviews in a previous thread regarding the 12" Clu.

You had stated in your review that you were happy it had been painted in the correct "Yellow" scheme. I had pointed it out because everyone else's seems to be orange, including mine. But yours is yellow, and it seems to be the only yellow 12" Clu so far.

I can't seem to find the original post I made when I had brought that to everyone's attention.

Thanks for the nice welcome folks. I'm glad to see that some of you have gotten the chance to see some of my reviews on Youtube.

I remember when I got Ultimate CLU in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had the correct yellow coloring as the pictures on the TRU website were orange-looking so I was a little hesitant to get it.

Next up on my channel will be reviews of three more diecast vehicles: Grid Limo, One Man Light Jet and Three Man Light Jet. I'll be concluding the reviews with my review of the 4 disc Tron Legacy Blu-Ray package when it releases next month.

I won't be shutting down the channel after I conclude the reviews. I want to leave the videos up for those who weren't as fortunate to get some of the items I purchased so they can see what they look like and their functionality.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I posted three new reviews of diecast vehicles this afternoon on my Youtube channel. I reviewed the Grid Limo, One Man Light Jet and Three Man Light Jet. I also gave a shout-out to this website at the end of the diecast Three Man Light Jet review.

Thanks but I'm concluding the reviews on April 5th when Tron Legacy releases on DVD and Blu-Ray. The channel will remain open though.

Thanks! Hopefully my videos have given folks an idea of what the TL line was like when it was being produced by Spin Master. It's too bad the line got torpedoed.

Spin Master was a poor choice, and had NO idea what they were getting into. There are STILL items I haven't found or been able to buy because of their bungling. That, coupled with piss-poor distribution made this line an all-new nightmare.

There are STILL many items I haven't found and the ransoms being commanded for them are absolutely ridiculous. Some of the items are more expensive than Vintage TRON, Star Wars, Transformers, and many others. That is absurd.

2" Action Packs and Ultimate 12" Figures are the names of our pain.

Perhaps it was for financial reasons that Spin Master got the nod for the TL line. I had never heard of them prior to the TL products releasing but that's not surprising as I'm not an avid toy collector.

I hear you RE: pricing. That's why I have no desire to be on sites like Screw-Bay. I see 3 man light jets going for around 45 dollars US and folks are buying them at those prices which to me is just unreal.

I never got into the 2" figure packs. For some reason they just never appealed to me so I never bought any of them.

In any case, I'll wish you luck on finding the items you want at reasonable prices. Hope you're successful in your hunt. :-)

User897 Wrote:Thanks for the kind words, but seriously, there are times when I wish I didn't buy any Spin Master stuff.

Out of curiousity, why is that? Is it because of the problems you've experienced finding specific items?

I look back on the offerings that I've seen and/or purchased from the TL line and it's just unreal how they could get some items done fairly well (I.E. deluxe light cycles) and then totally dog so many other offerings (I.E. core figures like Kevin Flynn). It makes me wonder what quality controls (if any) are in place at Spin Master.

While I'm thinking about it, someone said my review of my Ultimate Clu was "something else though". I'm not sure what that was supposed to infer, but my Clu is in the correct shade of yellow and there is no orange which, if I'm not mistaken, are shown on many promotional stills. Maybe it was a one-off, maybe not but it has the correct shade of yellow and I did not modify it at all.

Really anymore there are only two major US toy companies, and a bunch of bit players, of which one is Spin Masters.

And considering "hit" movie toylines of untested properties are few and far between, I think it's only the small ones who are going to take the gamble. As the big companies know there is better return on investment spending their money on things they already know will be successful.

However, it is interesting to me that Spin Master repeated a lot of the same mistakes with Tron:Legacy that Playmates did with their Star Trek and Terminator:Salvation lines two years ago. They would have been much better served on focusing on the 4" core line and vehicles only - having additional 2"/7"/12" figures just dilutes matters. I also would have done a more "middle of the road" identity disc, instead of having both basic throwable and deluxe lights&sounds discs, into a product that was throwable and lit up (particularly since the noises the deluxe discs make don't really sound anything like the ones in the movie anyway).

The Airhogs don't really matter since those were products Spin Master already sold, just with "light cycle" bodies.

I don't know if I'd call it a mistake. I think Spin Master was trying to appeal to collectors across the board working with different sized budgets.

I liked the Ultimate figures quite a bit, CLU especially so. I also thought the accessories that came with the Ultimate figures were done well too.

The core figures were, with a few exceptions, done poorly IMO. They seem to break easily from what I've seen in other Youtube videos.

The ID discs were good. I would have preferred to have them stay on all the time but I understand the reasoning for only having them flash for a brief period of time.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

It is exactly that. I have been collecting for a looooooooong time, and no toy line in recent memory has pissed me off as much as Spin Master's TRON Legacy line. A total disregard for fans, plus terrible distribution, plus the ridiculous secondary market that has items priced higher than most VINTAGE toy items, equals me no likey.

The only items I had a bit of trouble finding were Ultimate CLU and the 3 man light jet. Other than that, I had no problem locating the initial offerings and bought the first wave of core figures and vehicles in one shot with the exception of CLU's bike which was a Wal-Mart exclusive.

Overall, I think I did fairly well finding the stuff I wanted. But I'm out of the TL business now as the line has now been torpedoed.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't unhappy with any of the releases, and thought the "impulse projection" of the larger figures was cool. By "mistake", I was more hypothesizing what I'd have done differently if I were Spin Masters to build a toyline that might have had more than six months of shelf-life. A focus on the 4" figures with improved quality control would have been better than diluting the effort over a bunch of different sizes. order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I think that if I were in charge of the toy production for TL I would have nixed the 2" line. Instead, I would have focused on making playsets much like Kenner did with the Star Wars line back in the late 70's/early 80's for the 4" figures. Those sets were fun to play with back then.

Many of the vehicles seemed to be poorly conceptualized. A notable that comes to mind is the Deluxe Light Runner. I've seen or heard many comments from others on Youtube about how difficult it is to get the core figures into that vehicle. Aesthetically it looks good, but that's about it.

If Disney had spent a little more money and gone with a more mainstream company like Hasbro or Mattel, I think the offering's quality more than likely would have turned out better overall. Folks would be able to locate the items they want more easily and the scalpers on Screw-Bay would be peeing in the wind trying to sell the stuff at marked-up prices.

This all leads me back to my theorizing that Spin Master low-balled the other companies to get the TL license. The end result was Spin Master taking a crap on the TL line. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for when it comes to corporate dealings.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
