I don't actually watch it, but I just overheard the phrase, "He just derezzed right in front of me."

At first I guessed the show probably uses the word to describe something entirely unrelated. But then a moment later, someone said, "We're in the Matrix."

Apparently the characters are trapped in some kind of computer simulation. So yeah, guess they WERE talking about that.
