Sam's first crash with CLU on the LC grid

on Thursday, May, 03, 2012 4:18 PM
Did it occur to anyone that when Sam first has a minor collision with CLU on the LC grid that CLU does not kill him, even though he could have? Sam then witnesses CLU knock out a guy who's similarly right next to him and sends him careering into a wall. My point is that CLU could have done the same thing to Sam moments earlier yet didn't, and it was probably so he could toy with Sam and hopefully finish him off later in some more spectacular way when they were the only ones left on the Grid, which he accompolished rather well.

Have you also noted how CLU's light cycle has the headlight going across the front of the front fender while everyone else's are made of two vertical bars of light? Any-how.....

I think this was intimidation, why put him on the Grid if he was just gonna kill him straight away? No Clu was a showman he WANTED people to see him take down a user, but he wanted to toy with him, make him scared, make a user fear a program. He probably wouldn't have killed Sam as he was coming at with with disc in hand, I have a feeling he would have toyed with him even more.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Aye, this is classic gladiator mentality. Yes it's a death sport but it's also entertainment, and you don't provide a good show by killing all of your opponents too quickly.

The same argument probably applies to Rinzler - doing gymnastics to dodge a disc attack that he easily could've just ducked under, and then after getting in Sam's face, going to melee with him instead of scoring an easy kill.

Well, he does say, "I've been waiting a long time for this ... "

No reason to immediately put an end to something you've been waiting a lifetime of millicycles for.

Precisely. I've always maintained that Tronzler probably doesn't fight that way in a real fight when it would make more sense to conserve energy and fight efficiently-- but in the Games, anything goes to make it look good for the audience, especially if it might not be much of a challenge for you and you have to do *something* to make it interesting.

Same goes for Japanese sword arts, I study Kendo, Iaido, Jodo and Niten Ichi Ryu (book of 5 rings). In the movies you see lots of flipping and spinning yet in reality you never turn your back on your opponent you keep everything pointing directly at him/her. In Niten the kata are duelling kata and designed to be over and done with in one or two strikes direct and effective, but they are in no shape or form flashy or entertaining. Rinzler was playing to his audience, saying 'this is how little a threat that attack was to me I can show off' it also acts as much intimidation as anything. In Kendo there is nothing more humiliating or intimidating when your opponent lowers his/her shinai (bamboo sword) when fencing you, it screams "I don't need to defend myself against you" its really effective.

I am a student of gunkata. The increase to firing efficiency of 120% and 63% increase to lethal proficiency will help immensely during the zombie apocalypse.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill
