Well a lot of people think Flynn died, when he reintegrated with CLU. But what is his soul is still alive on the SD card the Sam saved??? can't be be reconstructed? He just has to get inthere deep enough find Kevin Flynn's soul and reconstruct it!! What do you think and why? Please be honest !

I was thinking about this the other day, basically I don't see why Flynn needs his body to exist in the grid. Its all just 0/1s in there, I am not saying he could appear anywhere any do anything but perhaps his mind can still influence things on the Grid. Becoming a true deity in a digital world.

I'm toying with the idea that maybe it is there, but can't be reconstructed; a literal ghost in the machine who guides his son and his allies as they try to repair the damage. Of course, that would give a follow-up tale themes of karmic hell (he really can't move on until he's helped fix the epic-level mess he made when attempting godhood), and letting go (because only Sam and Quorra got anything resembling closure, and even then Clu threw a wrench in it). order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion
It's an entire universe in there, one we created, but it's beyond us now. Really. It's outgrown us. You know, every time you shut off your computer...do you know what you're doing? Have you ever reformatted a hard drive? Deleted old software? Destroyed an entire universe?"

I shared this theory with a friend the other day. If the ISO emerged as a genuine life-form within the system, then they had to originate from somewhere before they manifested. When Kevin reintegrated with CLU we aren't given much to go on as to what exactly even happened. It's quite possible that CLU, Kevin, and all of the new system are in a states similar to what the ISO were before they came into being.
It seems to be a popular theory that Kevin's still kicking and reconfiguring within the grid.

Did he really?! Thanks for sharing. I always thought that Sam's SD card was kind of a strange curve to throw at the audience. It's cool to have that visual metaphor of his father being "with him", but we never actually see him put in the card before Kevin went kablooie. So, I never really thought that Sam could've "saved" Kevin on the card. END OF LINE. |

Yes, well, um... I actually address that in one of my pieces of fic, and it resolves with "finally they figured something out," lol. I sure as hell wasn't going to go into it.
It looks like Sam plugs his phone directly into the computer (with the memory card plugged into the phone), though I'm not sure what cable they might use. Did USB exist back then, even if it wasn't very common? If so, I could make the argument that Kevin Flynn, of all people, would definitely have a machine using new technology like that, and so they might get around it that way. What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

According to Wikipedia:
"A group of seven companies began the development of USB in 1994: Compaq, DEC, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, NEC and Nortel." My other ride is a Light Cycle. |

Yeah, but I'm sure Flynn thought of it in '85. (*snort*)
In that case, some fancy rewiring would've been in order, perhaps. Which is where Flynn might've come in handy.
In all seriousness: I've always wondered. how they pulled this off. Maybe there's some way of doing it that I'm not thinking of this early in the morning, or maybe it's another of those things they hoped we'd just accept and not think about. What do you want? I'm busy.

Funny you say that. I was just watching the movie again, and at the end when the explosion then fades to the real world. you see wires going into the open computer case with clips on the ends. As if maybe Sam found the port/connections whatever and direct wired to them. My other ride is a Light Cycle. |
