Can the MCP go viral online and take over the internet?
What do you think if he took over the system in TRON should he not be taking over the net??
Please help spread him all over the grid so he can take over the whole web!!

I think it's possible for the MCP to go viral. But as far as I've seen in the series, programs are unable to duplicate themselves. But if that's possible, I'm sure the MCP would be able to figure out how. I'm sure CLU falls under that as well. Though the MCP controls things remotely, where CLU relies on a command structure with subordinates. CLU would be likely to appoint a person in charge of each occupied system. So his control could be viral, maybe not in person.

If you are speaking of MCP circa original TRON, I would have to say no. That program was designed based on technology current at the time. As such, it would likely have been a mainframe program with little or no ability to replicate.
If you are speaking of what has been teased in the short after Legacy (possibly TRON 3)... where Dillinger Jr is speaksing to Dad/MCP, them I would agree that this is a distinct possibility. It would likely be an AI based program with the ability to infiltrate other systems and install a copy of itself.
Wither way, I hope we get get the chance to visit the old MCP again soon in TRON 3.
