... no pun intended! When will they restore & remaster the masterpiece on Blu Ray disc format? We need an upgrade.

I think there has already been a thread on this, but it's definitely worth bringing the subject up again. I got a Blu-Ray player for christmas, and it is BEGGING for Tron to be released on it!

I would KILL to see Tron in HD! Please Disney, stop me before I do anything I'd regret, and release Tron on Blu-Ray!

Not to be down on the DVD release, but somebody dropped the ball. I've been working with what looks like stock video - to make music video short films using the DVD. inside the tanks, and Sarks carrier needed the most attention. I just wish they did more FX with the lab on the side.... Maybe they are hiring? lol.

This question gets asked a lot. I think the best answer right now is, you probably won't see a Blu-ray release of TRON until close to the release of the TRON sequel.

So, we're probably looking at, at least another one and a half years.

Hate to double post, but . . . regarding TRON being released on Blu-ray, I have a bit of new info.

This list of all known releases from Disney for 2009, pretty much concludes that TRON will not see a release on Blu-ray this year.

It'd make pretty good sense if they released it on Blu-Ray as a promotion to the new film in 2010.

Here's what I can imagine:

TRON on Blu-Ray, released within the same month as TR2N, bundled with an offer for 1-2 free tickets for TR2N.

Sounds pretty good to me.
