"Refused an Oscar nomination because voters felt the film “cheated” by using CG."

Funny how time change eh? Where we have movies made entirely of CG.

But don't forget Tron was ahead of it's time back then with the CGI animations. It lead the way to other animated films later on like the lawnmowerman, Toy story and a few others that came up on the scene throughout the years. Including todays films that are strictly animated. Back then people didn't understand animated films done by computers. As compared to todays films and market.

Even myself when I was a wee lad back then and saw the film. I had a hard time thinking on how the heck did they do that. And learning about computers since I was a teeenager only then did it click. And how they did everything afterwards. The process that Liseberger took to do the tron film frame by frame and geting it coloured. is a mastermind itself.

I don't think that processed has ever been used again unless someone else knows of another film that did use this kind of process elsewhere in another movie. on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

VROOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

the academy should give Disney a special achievment award when TRON Legacy comes out, AND APOLOGIZE dickweeds.

Doubt it, the Academy still has clear bias towards sci-fi/fantasy movies.

Return of the King had to market itself differently just to win awards!where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

I always thought that even without the CG in Tron (which only amounted to something like 15 min of footage right?), all of the optical effects by themselves should have warranted the Oscar.

While I doubt they will use any sort of optics in Legacy, that would be pretty cool if they pulled out a few.
