I've been meaning to show this for a while now.
The original Recognizer was designed by John Norton. He was one of the people responsible for creating the "neon" look for Tron. I think he was also the first guy to draw Tron when the movie was going to be a cartoon.
After Tron, John Norton worked on a few other Disney movies, including storyboard artist for "A Goofy Movie", a story artist for "Chicken Little" and...character designer for "The Brave Little Toaster".
So, after watching Brave Little Toaster, I realized one of the characters in the movie look peculiar...almost familiar looking. After staring at Kirby, the vacuum cleaner for a minute or two, I realized why he looked familiar:
I have no idea if John Norton designed Kirby to look like a recognizer intentionally or not, but it's amusing nevertheless.
