Tron universe questions

on Saturday, May, 29, 2010 10:02 PM
Does anyone know if there have been any info on any non-humanoid programs besides Bit and/or Byte (from the PC game) in Tron Evolution and Legacy? Was wondering if there were animal/bestial type programs. I now there was a worm creature Tron 2.0 but not if is cannon now cause of Legacy.

Thanks

Don't know of any animal or beastial Programs.

Now in the VFX footage, and in the official trailer, high in the sky are *moving* "stars"..
My theory is that they are bright glowing Bits slowly floating around in the sky...

There has been some vague sayings of some maybeings from TRON2.0 to be used in Legacy. As far as I remeber (I may be a lier now).
But it is confirmed that the 2.0 canon is a nongo. So the seying might imply that the sideshows like byte and the worm, might... only might, be seen in legacy or revolution.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Only animal beings I can think of are:

Gridbugs and the Seeker.

I think those "bits" in the sky are really distant recognizers and/or other flying vehicles flying around the city.

Regarding Tron 2.0 in Legacy, I can totally see a nod, Easter egg, in-joke, game-box, wink, homage, tribute, or a name-drop, without adopting any part of the story or events. We'll see, though, and if it's not in the theatrical release, it could still be on the Blu-Ray disc.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Well believe or not, the name Tron Legacy is from the game in which Jet was looking for the "Tron Legacy code" to reactivate Tron.

"Legacy" is pretty common in the business world, though, too. I've worked on projects where we have to move to new systems. The old systems become "legacy systems." For IT developers, maybe "legacy code" is a common term used for code that gets archived or is no longer used. So I've always felt that's probably why they used "legacy code" in Tron 2.0.

Granted, the new movie's title could be a nod to Tron 2.0, which would be cool. But I have a feeling the "legacy correlation" was just a happy accident... or if not, then it was just recognized as appropriate, given the definition of "legacy" in the IT and business world.

Well it is also meant as well as a little extra to what your saying traahn. It is also meant that the applications are so old that they are no longer supported by the manufacturer. Due to no extra rewrites will be added to the application in question a good example of this even in the linux Redhat version 5.2-9.0 , windows (win 1.0 to windows 2000) Mac System 1-9.0. Are classic example in all three realms of being legacy. They will probably still of all the patches and all that for them. But nothing new will be added to them.

Come to think of it the tron legacy code from within the game itself was supposed t be an updated verson of the original tron that was on the mainframe computer. Since they may have switched over to clustering network that works like a mainframe or supercomputer. Due to that you can hook up multiple computers all within a certain highperformance computer Operating system that are out there. Linux variant or something from MS that was meant for clustering more than one computer node to essentially makining it.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

If I recall correctly, the internet will be totally excluded from this film.

It is my understanding that the computer is an isolated system in Legacy, and a 386 to boot (running solaris... or at least something that's a pun on solaris.)

It's 1988/9 tech after all.

Flynn's experiment is on his isolated main frame computer (which looks like two large towers with the touch screen desk inbetween them).

It is I think a custom modified and upgraded "386" not a typical model, hinted at by the terms "Unknown.Unknown" shown on the touch screen's display of the specs and runtime data. (my hypothesis is that it's been modified to be a type of Quantum Computer...)

It's running "SolarOS" as it's operating system ( which is possibly a modified version of Solaris.)

It is, in part, an experiment involving quantum-digital evolution with self-aware "independant" A.I. that can grow, adapt and change.

Not exactly the kind of digital entities you want entering into the internet and influencing things.

You think one "Sky Net" or one "MCP" is bad?
Try 10 million "Sky Nets", all with their own digital
"free will"; some malicious (like self-aware virus programs) and some not malicious... it would be digital chaos.

There would be a need for an army of "Trons" just to bring fair law and order and police the whole Net, cause Norton anti-virus is not gonna cut it. (Something like Reboot's Guardians..becomes essential..)

Flynn isolating it all to that computer is a good thing I think.
