well shoot- I commented in the other thread about the trailer - should have read this one first! Anyway its great work- get the group together and make a longer one- pretty please! Bravo!
Or at the very least write a fan fic- would love to see what happens in the story of Liz- David, and Sark 2.0- maybe bring more characters into the story? Hope to see more!

over the top or not it looks cool- maybe make it so they vanish eventually- cant have cars crashing into them- maybe in this world they could be used as a defensive distraction- to put on a confusing display for the enemy- like ninja smoke bombs, strobe lights, a dropped lizard tail , or squid ink? Its a lot of fun even if there isn't much logic to it. (not that the story behind the original was logical either - it's fantasy entertainment, Folks!) Good work- thanks for making it- you are a talented group and I hope we see more from all of you in the future! on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Nice! So you're the guy that masterminded the infamous Tron trailer that was on YouTube months ago? I've a question to ask, though. Does this story of the trailer take place after Legacy?
Second, in the age of cellphones and modern Apple products such as the Macbook Pros seen in the trailer, we see an ancient Apple II in the basement along with the Shiva laser. Why would someone leave an old computer downstairs when a modern PC with a high end server drive and terminal OS such as Linux would've sufficed?
I like the idea of the programs combatting a global internet threat and needing to re-write Clu to help get the job done in the latest iteration. However, the problem lies in the plot threads unresolved by the LOST writers relating to Quorra, Dililnger and that bizarre 'Isometric Algorithms' concept.
The only way to 'clean' that up is to create a story that takes place between Legacy and the third chapter. Think of it as Legacy Redux or Tron 2.5 to edit the 'bugs' out. To wait and let the third film focus on those plot holes is asking for trouble and a major risk in cramming in everything, turning it into a clusterf---k.
Oh, and Kubrick is a genius. I just want a TRON movie worth of respect and one that should make people think long and hard after the fact. What was the last movie that really made you think, that drove it home?
Cheers,

The code downloaded by Liz would only run on an Apple II. She tried on other systems and with emulators, but couldn't get it to run properly The old gear is there because it has to be.
Re: Sequel Idea
Dillinger's plans and ego are what ultimately cause the virus to get out of control. Seeing the error of his ways, he calls on Sam and they create an army to battle the threat. Sam reveals Quorra. Dillinger, Quorra and Sam work together, forging the friendship that Kevin and Edward should have had. Ultimate battle for the human race, and no one will ever know it because it takes place on hard drives and ethernet.
Or... We just pretend Legacy was a movie released in the world of Tron, much like the video game and toys, to capitalize on Kevin Flynn and Encom's fame... And start fresh from there

re: code emulator. That would make sense considering the C-64 emulators running amok these days on modern PCs. Ah, the C-64. Good old days. I'm happy Commodore's making a comeback now with a modern iteration.
re: sequel idea for Sam, Dillinger, Quorra as friends. Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. It would make no sense for Dillinger Jr to be another 'cardboard' villian since he's far too intelligent to be, well, two-dimensionally altruistic. I think Dillinger Jr should be the opposite of his father and actually reveres Flynn Senior as his inspiration. Think about it. Both Sam and Ed Jr's fathers both failed them in certain ways and Jr. has to make up for all of it by out-doing his father's work and cleaning up the family name.
He has to because he probably does give a damn about ENCOM. He breathes coding. He lives it. This is one dedicated company man, but also not without humor. I would think Dillinger Jr would have to own up to his errors and recruit Sam to help him out by turning things around.
I agree that Dillinger and Sam should have the friendship that Flynn and Senior never had. It would be more of a friendly rivalry, not too different from Kaneda and Tetsuo from AKIRA, but close.
On the other hand, he might pull a "Clu" by creating a virus to win Sam's help and then stab him in the back, tricking him to show him exactly where Quorra is from. But that would be too cliche and redundant.
The threat has to be bigger than Sam, Dillinger Jr, Flynn, Quorra, Tron and Clu combined to deal with it. It has to be endangering enough that it requires users and programs to work together for real.
Oh, and since ENCOM got its start in the garage as mentioned by Gibbs in the first film, I find it amusing that Sam was living in one called DUMONT on the garage door. Maybe it's a hint that's the origin of ENCOM's place of start .

Greetings, Program!
WOW!!!!!!! I watched this over and over again, and while watching it, I kept doing a double-take, asking myself, "Is this the REAL trailer for TR3N, or is this fan made?"; I kept trying to tell myself it wasn't fan-made, because it looked like something Kosinski would shoot.
Question: the camera you used - what brand and model did you use, is it a tapeless camera, do you have a 24fps setting on your camera, or did you add the film look effect during editing? What software did you use for keying in the light cycle over the black model that the actors sat on???
If you haven't done so already, I SERIOUSLY suggest that you send this off to Kosinski and Co., and maybe you could get hired by him for TRON 3. Straight up!!!!!
Anyway, GREAT job!!!!
Best Regards,
Renegade Program

*nod* I've been saying all along that having a second Dillinger villain would be way too cliched...we've already done the "son follows in father's footsteps" thing with the Flynns, so let's change it up a bit.
(In my fic, Dillinjr and Sam aren't friends--they're sort of antagonistic toward each other, for obvious reasons-- but Dillinjr comes in during the "action" sequence mentioned elsewhere in which he has to recruit the help of Sam/Alan/Tron to fix a problem in the Encom server that he discovered, and he and Sam have to learn to trust each other/work together rather than have a knee-jerk "I hate you" family-feud reaction to each other.
Like you said, Dillinjr actually is somewhat trying to clear the family name, as he explains to my OC:
“Look,” Edward said as we stood at the counter to the side and I shook liberal amounts of cinnamon and nutmeg onto the top of my coffee and then we walked slowly back to the office, “I really am sorry. I just… get pissed off when people judge me because of my father. It’s been almost 30 years since that happened and I wasn’t even born until two months after he went to jail. It was hard enough for us, living with that hanging over our heads; my mom had had no idea. I haven’t even spoken with my father in years, and I don’t want to. I do want to be seen for what I do, not for my last name. Flynn’s not making that any easier.”
“You think Sam doesn’t have that same problem, people looking at him and seeing his dad and expecting him to be the same way? The two of you have that in common.” Edward snorted.
“Yeah, but it’s different, isn’t it? Everybody loved Kevin Flynn. Sam’s dad wasn’t a criminal. So poor Sam Flynn grew up without a father. So did I. At least he didn’t have to know his was in prison. He was under scrutiny too, sure, but people regarded at him with pity. Some looked at me—and still do—like they’re waiting for me to follow in dear old dad’s footsteps. And while Sam Flynn was off flitting around on his dad’s cash, sabotaging this company for a lark, I was sitting here behind a desk, working my tail off to help out Encom, maybe make up a bit for what my father did, and try to salvage the Dillinger name—not for my father, mind you, but for me, and for my mom. When she switched back to her maiden name after the divorce, I thought about taking it too. I want to be my own person, not some criminal’s legacy. Yes, I’m bitter, Elise. I’m sorry. I have a reason.” We just walked in silence for several feet until we reached the employee entrance at the side of the building.) What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!
