Today, I went up to Vancouver and saw the Living Shangri-La, the building used for the exterior of the Encom Tower. I even saw the traffic post were Sam snagged his parachute. I don't have any pictures, so you will have to take my word for it. Anyway, it was really exiting for me.!!!

But bummer you didn't have a cam!

I can't necessarily see me base jumping off the top-- although it'd be a load of fun if you could get a bunch of Tron fans together and everybody do it!-- that's too steep of a learning curve for me and I don't think I'd want a building in a city to be my first base jump if I were to get into the sport (I'd probably go with a bridge-- less to run into, lol-- with a bunch of other very experience jumpers to help me out and build up to cliffs and buildings [because OF COURSE I couldn't just do it once and not go for my base number! Always wondered if that was just the one time Sam ever did it-- which makes me think he was pretty damn ballsy to do his first time solo-- or if he'd done it before/intended to do it after]).
But I'd definitely go up there. Not sure if I'd traipse out on the i-beam without a chute or a safety harness though (with, though? Totally). Sounds like an invitation to disaster to me-- one slip or bit of vertigo and you're toast. And then you'll always be known as "that stupid Tron fan who died climbing out on the beam." dude i didn't know it was an actual building. if i ever get a chance to go up there, i will definitely have to go and find it.
does it actually have the Encom logo on it, or was that only for the movie?

I pass by the original ENCOM building from '82 TRON all the time in Downtown LA... where they also filmed the ENCOM board-room sequence for TRON: LEGACY.
