I love the intro to the game, that opening cut-scene realy rocks quite frankly, especially the music, it's really well done.
But I have to share with you an observation: In the cut-scene Jet is playing on a vintage  arcage machine-yes? Well, I don't actually remember hearing of a tron game being invented by Flynn or any else, there was vice squad, matrix blaster and apace paranoids. So in that case we are to assume that in the game  the film had existed, and if you think about that notion, then it just keeps going round in circles.
I think I'm talking nosence but it was a funny thought, hehe  . Good intro tho.

I see what you're trying to say. But what was the Light Cycles game, then?
The Tank game with the Recognizers was Space Paranoids, but the film never specifically mentions what the Light Cycles game is called. (The kid in the arcade says "this is light cycles", but I'd like to think that wasn't the actual name of the arcade machine.) And Light Cycles could have been only a part of the whole game. Then, if you take the Tron-style cabinet into account . . .

Kia is absolutely correct. If you're careful and you read all the e-mails in the game, you'll come across an e-mail (I think on the ancient system) from Flynn to Alan where Flynn says he has an idea for a video game based on his experience in the computer. (There's also a similar e-mail regarding the creation of a movie). So in the context of the fictional world itself, they've acknowledged the existence of the real world fiction but changed it's origins. Certainly not the first work to do so.

A HA! Good work Stevedroid. So we are to assume that in the story of tron, a tron movie and game exist. Interesting. The possibilities are mind boggling. So maybe there's a fictional tron-sector for the fictional film, cool.
