Haven't heard anything on this topic in a while, so I thought I'd ask.
1- Is there any chance of an official Tron 2.0 soundtrack being released?
2- How many of those who use these boards would buy it if one was released.
I mean, it's pretty easy to get about 1/2 hour worth of music out of the game without doing any major hacking, but you still miss alot (all the combat music, etc...). Most of my WAV merge tools won't work on these shorter samples either (not that I condone such behavior  )

Well, as you know we kind of tossed this around earlyer. To the best of my knowledge the songs are simple mixes of loops, so its kind of difficult to release a cd with these I suppose we can get an 'offical' mix. I have LOTS of samples out of tron 2.0 and they are fantastic for my music projects. I'm not sure how you define 'major hacking' I think dragon unpacker is pretty easy to use and you get bascily everything in the way of sound clips. I'll repost the link if needed, but a quick goolge will bring up the page. So, its difficult to say if I would buy a mix.....but I'd probably would. What I would REALLY like to see is a collectors edtion with pages and pages of concept art, the cd can come with that. I dont really care if it has the game in it, I just love concept art, also a pewter figure would rock! I hope this could happen, I know you can pick up the figures online, or raid daveTRON's house whoohoo, seriously look at his site some time....tron shrine indeed  I hope something like a collection edition happens, I'd definilty buy it.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

You can raid my house, but there is no TRON there right now. It's all at work in my office.
The page is gone too. It was starting to feel like people were more aware of what I have than I am. Scary.

Here's my problem (also, please kindly bear in mind that I'm two steps shy of a fully flown idiot...)
I've used various tools to merge wave files before. But I run into two problems with the Tron 2.0 samples.
1- the few seconds of silence on the end of each sample (although I can use sound recorder to eliminate this).
2- the tool I use to merge files tells me the samples don't have a "a WAVE headder and data chunk packed together". I don't have a clue what this means (see idiot comment above).
Yes, I have been able to make a nice little 1/2 hr long soundtrack, and a nifty desktop theme with voice samples. But there's a lot more music in those 5-10 second clips I would like to have.
I remember seeing a many page long "how to" over on the 2.0 forums, waaaay more than I want to get into...
It's so much easier to pay for a cd. Well, 'cept when you're broke...

Ok, i found some tools to do this, and it's going rather well!
Only one thing, when I merge the samples into one longer song, there is a slight "break" where the samples were merged. It's very short, but still annoying in a song.
