I don't have a PSP. They are a little pricy for me cause of tuition and I wouldn't have the time to play it.

If I owned a PSP I would DEFINATELY, without giving it any thought, buy a TRON UMD. I think that's really cool that they're releasing TRON in UMD format for the PSP. I don't understand how any self respecting true gamer could own a PSP and not buy TRON - the ultimate film for both gamers and technogeeks!
Unfortunately I don't own one. It's a bit pricey and I'm not sure how much time I'd have to enjoy it. If money weren’t a concern though, I'd buy one just because it looks really cool and it would be fun to have that kind of gaming (and then some) right in a pocket sized tablet-o-fun!

I don't have a PSP nor am I going to get one, but I ma going to order TRON because it's TRON. I'll never actually watch it but I'm a completist so I have to have it

Yeah PSP's are expensive... but We got our Taxes back and my wife got a bunch of clothes and I got a PSP!
Lumines is wicked too... anyone on here have Lumines?

No... it kind of looks like a Tetris clone to me and I want something that will show off the power of the PSP. I was kind of thinking of that game "Mercury" which is a Marble Madness type game.
Lumines has gotten rave reviews, though. What can you tell me about it that makes it stellar for the PSP as opposed to say... just a Game Boy Advance?

I guess I would have to say that Lumines was the game I bought my PSP for... yeah it's basically a tetris clone... but it was programed by the same guy/team behind REZ.

REZ is one of my favorite games of all time so I was pre-disposed to liking Lumines which is more a musicaly influenced DDR-Kind of Tetris than anything else.
If you can find someone who ownz a copy of REZ, you owe it to yourself as a TRON fan to play it... or at least watch someone play it. (there is also an article somewhere on the web that I wont link to, that talks about a Girl playing REZ alone with her boyfriend... and an attachment... I'll leave it at that) 0_0
As for Lumines. I guess honestly it just boils down to a flashy tetris with real cool music and graphics. But it is the best of the genre if that's all it is.
I'm posting here when I could be playing Ogre... Go figure! O_o

The psp is actually pretty cheap when you think about it. I mean come on, your getting a 300 mhz processor (actually clockrate is still under debate), it plays mpeg part 10 ! , and course' great games, also views photos, views files, can get on the internet. Their simple isint a device on the market that can do what the psp does for that little money. I understand that $250 is still not just chump change. But its an awsome deal, i really recommend playing with a psp before you pass final judgement. They definitly arent for everyone, but they are a really nice toy to have...
lumens is a lot of fun. Its like tetris but....stylized. Go borrow a friends copy and check it out before you buy it.

I do have that game for the PS2 and have played it. I agree VERY innovative and addictive. Definately the best shooter game on the PS2.

umd is the disc format that goes in the psp. Its what movies and games are on, their is also a memory stick slot for saves or other files. Umds cannot be burned at home at this point.

Hm. The japanese page lists alongside Tron Curse of the black pearl and King Arthur. I can guess the reasons behind the choice (CotBP and KA have the same producer, right?), but still.. Since Tron and Curse are amongst my favorite movies, King Arthur is bit of a letdown.
