Um.... so I tried some random stores trying to find the Tron soundtrack, and I couldn't find it! Apperantly some people forgot to tell me that the CD was discontinued!!
Now, I must wait untill I find it used somewhere, which might take some time. ==

Whenn I was out a number of years ago. I think it was like 2 years ago. I wa still able to get it back then. I think it was like 2002-2003. The exact month and day eludes me. But it was available. I guess it depends where you go too. Is there a music world or a HMV that you could go to and check ot.. These are the two that I know of up here in Montreal that had them around.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

It should still be readily available. They released the CD for the 20th anniversary and as far as I know it's not OOP yet.
Have you tried Barnes And Noble or Borders? Also, try eBay... you could probably pick up a new copy on there.

they have it at Amazon.com for a mere $12. A paltry sum for a soundtrack such as this!

Did you like Tales of Heaven And Hell? It was the first actual original composition CD from her in a long time, and I fear maybe one of the last. I really liked it though, and play it a lot. It's more for fans of the Clockwork Orange soundtrack than Tron. If you're looking for something similar to Tron I suggest Digital Moonscapes. There's a track on there that sounds exactly like the "lost" lightcycle music.

Hmmm..... well, the places I tried were Everyday Music, Tower Records, and Music Milineum (Sp?)..... Maybe I should stop going with my senses, and try Wall-Mart (As much as I hate the idea...)

Digital Moonscapes is a must for anyone who loves the Tron soundtrack. There's also a CD by composer Michael Tippet which sounds eerily like Carlos' score. I can't remember the name of it, but I'll dig it out from my collection and post it here. Fans won't be disappointed. And it was all composed a good 15 years before Tron came out.
One thing that still irks me about the original soundtrack: when Alan is on his way down to the lab there's a quality piece of violin/synth scoring going on there. I know it's a prelude to what became the lightcycles theme - and what ultimately ended up as IO on Digital Moonscapes - but this original version cannot be found on any of the soundtracks, original or re-released.
I guess you could tape it from the DVD, but I'd like to get a complete piece of the music (and without dialogue over the top). If anyone has any knowledge on this, I'd be grateful to hear about it.
Cheers!

I'm always ripping songs from my CDs so that I would have a back up of them just in case something happened to the CD; Tron was one of the CDs that I have a back up of. Maybe there's something I can do? (Of course, I'm not entirly sure if I can talk about this stuff on Tron sector. So I recommend that if there are any interested people out there is that you should email me about that stuff or talk about it with me outside of Tron sector. Okay? I don't want to cause any sort of trouble with this. ^^;; )
