Even though I quit as an admin here, I'm gonna speak up.

If you believe something, you should stand by it. But you should also understand that your opinion is not the only one and you better be careful how you present it.

If you believe the things you said, it is your right, but you also have a right not to put it out there in a mode that offends other people.

That's called class, and you have not been exhibiting any lately.

It's OK. You're entitled to your opinions.

Posting apologies is good, but seriously...

It's really good to think about what you're gonna post.

* Will this offend people?
* Is this a good idea?
* Did I check my grammar? Am I making sense?

I just called you on some parts of the post because that seemed a little silly for a child your age to say. (Granted, it's not a bad idea to know stuff about the world, but still... it's little unsettling to have all these knowledge and not be simply able to play and be a child.)

BTW: On this point. The whole reason I stopped posting TRON info is because most people ignored it and wanted to talk about anything but TRON. It gets tiring when you dig out info to share and see posts go completely ignored. It stopped being fun. In fact, it turned into this! Aiiighhhh

Yeah, I come here for the Tron news (i.e. The Tron UMD and the Wendy Carlos CD, which I learned about here...)
but also for the non-Tron related talk, because I feel, as a whole, we share a lot here and I can relax and have fun and just be myself.

and other times, i don't get much time to look at this website/post replys. with a whole family of four fighting for this computer, it can get a bit hectic.

I'm not offended. Just a little shocked anyone thought that was being hard on him. I thought I went rather light considering. To each his own. I was actually trying to be supportinve of his POV while letting him know the style was the problem.

As for the TRON stuff, who knows what will happen. When my new site gets off the ground later this year and becomes a companion to this one, maybe I will have more to say again. Here's some advice, Josh and it's this: Never bring up anything political in polite company. Why? Because people will heckle you about it. It's called a debate. A debate is no fun if your opponent high-tails it out of there. Take it from someone who's been on her highschool debate team, when you have someone who's quite intelligant for an 11yrs old.... particullary an 11yrs old boy who reads about as much as I do and have library cards that walk in fear of them (Fact: Illiteracy is much higher in boys than in girls. This includes reading.), it's a shame to see you up and quit like that.... especially since you had so much potential! Listen, we're all friends here and one little debate isn't going to wreck everthing unless you say something really nasty and make it personal. Other than that, you really don't have anything to worry about. Just don't run away from another debate! Stick it out! You're stronger than you think you are.

For me the key is make sure you are doing what you want to do and are doing it for the right reasons. I too am guilty of putting alot of effort into making a new TRON rendering or short animation and posting it only to check back every 5 minutes to see what others are saying about it. And quite often I do feel a little down when nothing is said for some time. However I never stay down for long. I make these renderings and animations because I'm enjoying the product myself even if no one else ever said anything. I also know I enjoy looking at all the other artwork and info posted here and quite often don't know what to say myself. To post saying nothing more then "Thank you" or "That is great" sometimes doesn't feel it adds enough to a puplic conversation. It's odd... I see the other side too so I should know better. But seeing the other side also helps me understand that there are many people out there that probably like my stuff and just don't know what to say either. Heck, half the time I stoot myself in the foot by bringing up math and that ALWAYS puts everyone to sleep.

Long story short (ok too late) you shouldn't ever get down about posting something. If you enjoy sharing new by all means share news. The attention feels good believe me I know that too but that shouldn't be the only reason for doing what you do.

Even shorter... have fun and try not to take life to seriously.
