This is predictable but DisneyQuest has 2 Tron machines, 1 Discs of Tron, and a Legacy pinball machine. It's a Disney place so of course they would have them but I still thought it was awesome to be able to play them in their original arcade formats.

Yes, it still exists. I was just there last week when I was in Florida.

The fancy 3-D games they have haven't been updated in awhile but I like the older charm. And they have a lot of classic arcade games to. We had a lot of fun there.

How do the Tron machines play at Disneyquest?
If they are in good shape, I would like to go there and put up a decent score.

Oh, I never heard about anything like that... Maybe it was in trouble a few years ago? But it was clean and everything worked right when I was there.

Well I'm no arcade expert but they worked fine for me. No laggage or anything.

I got to go to Disney Quest to try their Tron machines. Sadly, they are unplayable for any kind of decent score.
The joysticks on them are replacement 8 ways.
It's way to easy to go diagonal on the light cycles. No way to repeat patterns without being extremely careful.
On top of that, the joysticks are also angled forward so much that you are practically touching the front of the machine when you push the stick forward.
The spinners also don't work well. They are not accurate and tend to aim to the right.
If I can bring my control panel there, I will try again. If not, then it's not worth it.
The Tron on the third floor has some serious monitor problems.
The monitor on the fifth floor is ok.

The Discs of Tron spinner is also problematic. It was giving me big problems trying to go left. It is also difficult to turn.

I did complain to them. Their tech does not know much about Tron or doesn't really care.
I complained about the joystick and he replaced it with another one that worked just like the previous one.
It's a good thing that have lots of other games to play there.

Game Galaxy in Nashville (yes a mall arcade that still exists!) has both the Tron video game and Legacy pinball. They also have had Discs of Tron, but I haven't seen it in there lately, so it may have been sold or else it is being repaired in the shop.
