Tron Guy & FireFox

on Monday, May, 05, 2008 7:26 AM
Hey guys. It's been a long time. Haven't been on the sector for a while but I just stopped in to report a finding.

I haven't seen anyone else mention it (but if so then I'm sorry about this thread).

Anyways, our very own Tron Guy is seen here at the ROFLcon with everyone's favorite fox (seen below).

Just thought I'd post about it..

When you said "Everyone's Favorite Fox", I thought you were talking about a "fox" of the female homosapien variety.

Guess I'm not as hardcore of a geek as I thought I was.

Is the fox a console game character?

When I saw 'FireFox' my first thought was of the Clint Eastwood thriller and its awesome titular fictional MiG-31.

"We are, after all, not God." - Cmdr. J. J. Adams
"C is for cookie. That's good enough for me." - Cookie Monster
"If money is the root of all evil, I'd like to be a bad, bad man." - Huey Lewis & the News

Most recent PC game collection update: 04/12/2012. Check it out!

At first, I thought that FireFox mascot was a furry.

Man, that place sounded like an absolutely awesome convention. Yeah.. I had a feeling after posting that the 'fox' part might be confusing.. lol..

The picture is on the mozilla firefox blog. Here is a link

While I was reading Avi's post, Samantha Fox came to mind. I use to have a calender of her back in the 80's.

Cool photo.

Is that Firefox from the SNES (and later N64) Firefox game? If so - where is his flight jacket? I would have thought this was the Firefox from Mozilla Firefox. But who knows - maybe it's the fox from the Disney feature cartoon The Fox and the Hound.

What does the note on Jay Maynard say?

TRON.dll: (Captures the intelligence) "I have take the intelligence and it will cause meltdown!"
Cam_the_Man: "No! Not all of Dallas!"

I just opened the latest issue of Wired magazine and saw an article on ROFLcon. Right there on the very first page of the article is Jay Maynard himself. The article isn't about just Jay, but it does kind of center around his persona. It comes back to him every now and then, which I thought was kind of cool.

I thought it was appropriate when they would reference him periodically. Jay represents everything that is fun and cool and geek chic about the internet...hence the Jimmy Kimmel and South Park appearances.
