Hopefully when the LHC creates an interdimensional portal that causes the combine to enslave humanity, Gordon Freeman will be able to save us all and allow us to see this movie.  
See the funny pictures thread to see what I'm talking about.
Either way, awesome news. Hopefully I'll be able to fully experience the 3-D effect with the 3-D glasses over my real glasses. Maybe if I digitize myself into the computer, I will have a 20-20 eyesight and not need glasses, therefore, I can watch the movie from within the computer with perfect eyesight!

As isMetaClass has said, this story has already been posted about earlier.
Also, the fact that the movie will be in 3-D has been known for quite some time.

Yeah, but at least we have an official confirmation of the 3-D coming straight from the director now. 
I wonder if Disney wanted him to do that...
So excited for the following years.
Remember, Disney said we'd see more footage next year, they didn't say anything about news.
