Okay Gang...
If you didn't know I've been at Walt Disney World all this week.
I was in the Magic Kingdom today with my wife and daughter doing the usual kid rides.... then we went to my daughters 4:50pm appointment at the Bibbidy Bobidy Boutique (a childs hair salon inside Cinderellas Castle were they do Princess makeovers). I'm sitting there watching her get her nails done when I suddenly look to my right and see a man wearing a BOLT button up shirt. My first thought was "hey that looks a lot like the shirts that John Lassiter would wear".
Then reality sank in like the Titantic...
That WAS John Lassiter. He had a Disney employee flanking him and he was there to 'check out' the park and it's services. He even walked by my daughter and was looking at what they were doing with her. I quietly walked over to his assistant and asked if I could introduce myself. He looked surprised that I knew who it was but then said "Let him finish this and I'll introduce you".
SNAP!
So he turned around and I extended my hand and said:
"Hi John my name is David Hernly and I founded Tron-Sector. I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you how exicited so many are to see Disney moving ahead with TR2N."
He said:
"Glad to meet you David. Yeah the test (teaser trailer) turned out great. Thanks!"
And with that he was gone. I didn't even get a photo op 
But dangit I shook John FEAKIN Lassiter's hand... at Walt Disney World... at Cinderella's Castle. Amazing.
I'll not be online much this week but I wanted to get this online. So unreal.

Wow.. that is so cool Dave.... Too bad he couldn't say more about it, but wow.... I would have just freaked out if it happened to me.

That's awesome, Auric! He seems to be a really nice guy. I would love to get a chance to talk with him.
Actually, I'm in Orlando right now, too, but I'm not going to WDW; just Downtown Disney. :-\
EDIT: LOL, I wonder if we're going to bump into each other this week.

While I've never been the type to get starstruck, I still think that it's really neat that you got to meet John Lassiter. It would've been very cool if you had gotten a photo op, and absolutely mind-blowing if he had actually given you a few minutes of talking TRON.

Some actors, actresses, and people like John Lassiter who you can come up and just chat a little bit and introduce each other is way cool in my books. I've done it a couple of times with some actors and actresses from Star trek. Just to take a little moment of their time to talk with them and treat them like how you wanted to be treat. Like Auric did with John it goes a long way. And if your not like one of these fanatics where they go into panic and scream louder than one of those sirens when they are close by you. Happened to me one time when Spocks father was a science fiction showing over here. Thought I had lost an ear drum when she saw spocks father. But it was funny too at the same time when I introduced myself to him along with this person that was next to me. She ended up fainting afterwards when she got her picture taken with her and he had gone to the back of the stage.
