I'm a tron fan since I was young. I never thought, that there are so much tron fans on the web This site is fantastic, I really like the tron-smileys!

I study in Austria, Interactive Media Manegement and I write my first dissertation about tron. I was so fascinated about the film, so I took the opportunity to write about tron and the communitiys related to tron.

I hope that there is anybody who would like to help me

Welcome to Tron-Sector. I hope your dissertation on tron goes well. So to the point, I'll try to address you.

Older and wiser people made Tron.

I enjoyed Tron when I walked into the theatre at age 5, alone, for the first time..

I was cool with tron, everything else was... blah. stupid.. and knew what to think... Tron was more fantastic, even scarier, symbolically authentic. relevant, and compelling. I could care less for aliens.. or whatnot. Just too much drama.
a piece of my self-awareness is having the tag SCION on my licence plate since of 1999. I appreciate the works used to make Tron, and modern technology,(NASA) most of which I learned to know of computers from games.. also building PCs for my older sister. later, when I heard of Tron 2.0, I built myself a PC to play the game.


Tron Guy is a person whom is aware of himself, and adjusted to the caliber of acting in the pursiut of freedom of the users to help people become cultured, even intellectual for reasons that benefit US citizens, and the world.

Tron open source project is a fan film. If I'm not mistaken Mr. Sinistar and several others were recreating a Tron movie like sequence. That's about all I know of it, I hope it's released soon.

I hope your dissertation proves Tron is a worth-while topic.

Yeah, the Open Source Tron Movie Project was a fan-film that NoExcuses, Chikan and I were making. It's currently in hiatus and I'm hoping to get back to making it soon.

With luck, hopefully, the movie will be finished next year.

4) Tron is just one of those movies where it's just too awesome to describe. The special effects and sound effects are what really got me into the movie and the storyline, when it finally made sense to me, made it even more awesome.

when did you begin with this project? Can you tell me anything more? You made me corious :P Which programs do you use? You and Chikan had the idea to do this?

You know, I think it was somewhere between Wendy Carlos' music and the glow of the scenery that got me to say "wow." From there, disc fighting. I used to have so much playing disc games in the school parking lot with my friends. Man that was a blast. On BBS story boards I adopted a variant of the "Clu" character, and that morphed into characters named "Clu" in other clubs and societies since.

If only I could make such a cool TRON costume. (He should just go for action poses though when he takes pictures, side shots are not his best friend, but seldom is for many for that matter....)
