May be be something or may be nothing but....

If you take the ID number on the IMAX event tickets and assume it is in hexidecimal format then convert it to Binary format you get :

Now all I have to do is figure out were the place holders might be and then plug that code into the /Derez page and see if it works.

Anyone else have an IMAX ticket ID # we can try? I'm using the one from Canada.

Anyways, I'd like to point out a few inconsistencies with the ARG:
-Encom International states that July 9, 1982, Flynn was rehired to ENCOM.
"Who is the Most Amazing?" article on Flynn Lives says that Flynn was rehired in 1983.
-Encom International states Flynn became CEO March 12, 1983.
Home of TRON states that Flynn became Ceo March 21, 1983.
-Encom International states that Flynn "abandons Encom" and disappears July 26, 1989.
"Who is the Most Amazing?" article on Flynn lives states that Flynn retired 1985.

It is interesting to note that Flynn was also widowed 1985. Also, according to Encom International, Flynn released "The Digital Frontier" Ocotber-December 1985.

This was simply to stay in line with the original vintage collection of cards which had misprinted #9 as #6 so that there ended up being two #6 cards. I loved this when I saw it as I have the original cards and knew of the error.

Well, I spent the day yesterday having a wander around London (Got myself a new book - Fokelore of the Discworld, very interesting and well reccomended if you're a Terry Pratchett fan).

I also hit the IMAX Trailer screening. For those who don't know, this is roughly how the trailer went (I'm sure someone will correct me if I miss and/or re-arrange bits).

Started off with Alan talking to Sam, saying some sort of signal had been sent, coming from Flynn's old arcade phone line. The weird thing - the phones were disconnected 20 years ago. Sam kind of isn't convinced - thinks Flynn is gone, why bother, usual whiny brat stuff. Alan gives some mumbo-jumbo about how Flynn said he was onto something bit - something new, something that would change computers, gaming, religeon, life itself.

Sam heads off to the arcade - all dusty and stuff. Messes around with the Tron machine - puts in a coin (A quarter? Dunno - not US myself, so I couldn't tell), but it falls through the slot. Pulls the machine to one side - secret passage.

Inside the secret passage is a workshop. There was a screen with some writing, but I couldn't catch what it was. He sits down at the desk to look at things, and you see the encoding laser behind him...

Cut to shot in the computer world - a massive recogniser. Somewhat re-designed, think how the Light Cycles have been re-done, and imagine a Recogniser done to those standards... very cool looking. The central portion drops down the legs, and Sam gets in, and is lifted up.

Montage pieces of various people, comments (That, I'm afraid, I've forgotten), shots of light cycles, explosions, a hot woman, the pit-cell image sequence (No clear indication of what he was going towards). Something like, "It's been a long time", and "You have no idea".

Pretty well done trailer, sorry I can't be clearer in my reporting of it...

While it's neat to have separate threads, many of you might want to navigate over to the Unfiction boards. They've got a topic on all this, and I'm sure your thoughts and efforts would be appreciated over there.

The only reason I think it might make sense is that they've got a separate topic with threads for each puzzle, as this game is bound to become as big and as sprawling as other 42 Entertainment ARGs.

I ran a bunch of stuff on the light cycle codes to no avail. I detailed my stats there as well.

Of course, this place rocks, and I'm not saying in any way that people shouldn't frequent Tron Sector, I'm just saying it's a collaborative game in many ways, and it'd make sense for all of us not to have to crosspost data and duplicate work.

was sifting thru the stuff on home page of Flynn Lives again...thinking about this "letter from kevin Flynn" (see below) and Sam being contacted by his dad at the old arcade in the new trailer...

"1998 -- Letter from Kevin Flynn to a founding member of the group gains media attention, then debunked."

...so I tried emailing Alan Bradley and Kevin Flynn at Encominternational.com.

No response...but no email rejection either. In think in other ARGs sometimes you can communicate with characters...so it was worth a shot. who knows maybe something will turn up in the future if this is a viable channel...

Also thinking about this other excerpt from the flynnlives website.

"2001 -- A $5,000 award is offered to anybody who can prove Kevin Flynn is alive. By December 31st, alas, nobody had satisfied our jury and the money was spent on a great party for all of the "Troniacs" we know and love! "

I am not sure if this is co-incidence or just an omen - but Dec31st is New Years Eve or the countdown to "Zerohour".


One last thought for now is Kevin's son riding a Ducatti in the trailer....

Wonder if Ducatti website has any hidden easter eggs..could be far fetched..but worth a try...i did not see anything out of the ordinary though other than the style being dark and urban like the real world city in tron - maybe just co-incidental...

also thinking about how ARGs are meant to move a story along.... if you look at the two trailers we have so far - they reveal some things we have experienced so far.

essentially thru this ARG we are experiencing what is happening in the movie...realizing Kevin is alive in the digital realm...discovering Flynn's arcade...finding the hidden room...going to the Pitcell...etc.

anyways my reasoning for trying to figure things out as related to the story - being inspired by the new trailer.

thus Ducati? contact by kevin Flynn? etc.

As you read on - "Extras are spotted wearing Flynn Lives T-Shirts" - So this seems like Flynn Lives organization might have a possible a role in the movie (beyond just these ARG activities) and we are the extension of the movie by living it in real time...if so pretty cool. Thanks.

It does lead me to wonder if the "event" that you gained access to doesn't, in fact, have two parts. With months of post-production time left (as the Cindy Morgan Testosterone Army has reminded us ;-) ), there'd be plenty of time for some pick-up shots of more people in "FLYNN LIVES" shirts.

In fact, are you sure you weren't filmed at the trailer screening?
