Arg.... Just this week I picked up the 25th Anniversary Edition of The Last Starfighter on Bluray. I'm now wondering if I got the good or bad version. I haven't been able to watch it yet as my HD TV is in the shop and I googled to see if I could find any more info on what ArcadeWarrior is refering to and came up empty handed. Could anyone point me to some more info on this topic?

Thanks,
Carl

With the Fifth Element they first released a very bad master and due to fan outrage, they went back and re-released it with a decent master.

With The Last Starfighter you got the good version - they completely remastered it for BluRay while they didn't do a whole lot for the HD-DVD version (which I have). From what I have heard, the BR version is an improvement over the HD-DVD in many ways because they actually took the time to make it look right this time.

Not that the Hd-DVD version looks bad - it looks great in fact so I am quite curious to see how the new master looks.
