Well, what happened in the ending was they had no choice but to go through the black hole (from what I remember). I think it was too late for them to escape, so they really didn't have a choice.

While they were going through the black hole the movie goes through this wierd creepy sequence where the crew starts to go nuts and they seem to pass through an alternate reality until they make it safely (somehow) to the other side.


When I was reffering to cyborgs I was talking about the Cygnus and the scientist turning the crew members into robots.
