I have been doing a pretty crappy job of selling off my TRON collection. The main reason is that I HATE Ebay and handling it all through email wasn't working either.
Well, problem solved!
It turns out one of the tools on my server that I can use is an auction site. So, TRON Auctions is now available.
This is where I will be selling off all of the remaining items in my collection going forward.
There are only two items up there now, but over the next couple of weeks it will all be up there and available.
There's a quick registration process and it works pretty well. Best of all, I don't have to give Ebay a cut.
I hope to see some of you over there signing up and bidding soon. Keep coming back because I have literally hundreds of items to sell off and I will be adding more every day.

Since it's my site, I can control that.
Unlike Ebay, if the bids are good enough I will sell. The minimums are just to prevent them from going too low.
I am doing this to make as much money from them as I can, but I am not greedy.
I've already let a lot of stuff go way below actual value.
Call me crazy, but I like that it's all going to fans.

Got a slower start adding auctions than I had planned. Up to 30 auctions right now and expanding quickly.

When I saw the cassette with the story in german I had to smile, because I have it and it is quit common here in germany.
The sound of this cassette is directly taken from the movie, combined with an narrator(who is kind of crazy btw^^).
Was a cassette like this made in the USA?

It should stop. I though it was addressed earlier today. In total it sent more than 85,000 messages out today, most of them to me thank god.
I have had to delete the entire site and I highly recommend that anyone considering using PHPAuction as a tool avoids it like the plague.
I don't know if I got hacked or it's just shitty software, but that situation sucked!
My apologies for the inconvenience, and it won't happen again.

Just to chime in.
Why even have minimum reserves? Why not just set the minimum price for the least you want to get out of something? Sellers setting reserves, frankly, annoy me. It's almost as if you're saying 'Oh well you won the auction? Oh well too bad so sad, I'm still not going to sell to you because you're x dollars short.' i can understand not wanting to sell below a minimum price, but.
Sorry just don't like the whole 'reserve' system anyway.

That's what a reserve is. A guarantee you won't sell below a minimum price.
I've tried it the way you suggest and people don't bid.
If I sell things from a list with a set amount, which I am going back to by the way, the it works slowly.
Starting bids and having a reserve works if there are bidders.
Can't do much about the fact that it annoys you, but the system does work. What annoys me are people who bid by pennies!

Well, at least I know why the site is gone. There were a few items I was watching but with the site gone I don't know if they sold or not. Mostly, I'm wondering if that lightcycle trading pin is still available?

I really am sorry, and I'm just going off personal experience and what I'd gathered from talking to other people. So maybe this just seems to be based off the circles I tend to travel but many people seem to be turned off by anything wit ha reserve price and more than a few won't even look at the auction if there is one.

And since eBay charges higher fees depending on how high your insertion fee is, I can see why some eBay sellers would want to insert their auction at a low price, yet have a reserve price. It's been a while since I've posted an eBay auction, but they at least used to do that.
Note: I know DaveTRON was using his own service, but you were speaking in generalities. Since eBay is a large auctioning site, I figured I'd put in my two cents on the generality. PS: I have a reserve of $75 on my two cents if you'd like to start bidding  )

Hey DaveTRON, I have a large Tron poster similar to this:

It measures about 2.5x3.5 feet, and is in mint condition. It's been out of the wrapper a couple times, but has never been hung and is stored in a poster tube.
My question is if you had the same poster in mint condition, but a little less than 2x3 (the size most posters are) preferrably without text, but not necessary. I was wondering if you'd be willing to trade, and you could sell mine.
