Watching the gameplay...was 50/50. Seeing Tron in a videogame was awesome
The rolling animation movement has got be fixed, as well as the AI. Those are like the two biggest flaws with the game right now. That being said, it's a beta. They have 5 more months to fix it.
The lightcycles look great. I don't what the heck everyone is complaining about. This is coming from a guy who's life is racing games (BTW, I'm stoked for NFS:HP).

They don't have 5 months.
If they want it on the street 11/1, then they need a month to a month and a half to manufacture and ship, that puts them at 9/15 for approval from Third Party, which if they go through two passes takes about 5 weeks at best which means they have to have code locked down in early August which gives them a month and a half to get it right. They have a lot to do in that time.

I highly doubt that the 1st of November is the actual release date.
The date "11/1" seems like a fill in date that Game Stop often uses for games that don't have an official ship date yet. It probably be out in November, but I highly doubt it will be on the 1st.
I am sure the developer will fix the few glitches and animation anomolies.

It's also possible that the demo shown at E3 was not representative of what they had at that very moment, as I remember some press groups (gamespot being one of them) having written up a report of that same demo about a month earlier, at which point it still might have been behind what they had currently achieved.

Even what was shown and playable of Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword was a demo build only and not the final game at all.

Shadowdragon,
Why not just admit you have no idea what you are talking about?
Of course it's demo code, but the companies that make the games work on those E3 demos right up to the wire in almost all cases.
Having worked E3 for Activision, Disney and THQ in my career, I think I'd know this stuff. I've installed new versions of demos on the show floor minutes before the shows start. The version of TRON 2.0 that we showed the year it came out was installed the night before and tested at E3 by my team since we were setting up the booth tech.
If their date for release is prior to the movie release in December, then they are well into the Alpha phase of their game and nearing Beta. That means code lock and a final game that gets polished. The Zelda example you give doesn't apply because they may be much earlier in their cycle and have less to show. T:E is likely very complete now and while they may have some surprises up their sleeves, what we saw at E3 has got to be pretty damn close to what we see in the box when it's released.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion DaveTRON

I was not saying or implying that T:E was not near complete.
Only that I think they will polish things up and that I think they may fix some of the glitches.
I wasn't stating an absolute " this is an early build!",
just that it's kind of unclear/not stated by Propaganda what build of T:E they were showing that's all.
The on the floor demo had like two segments from the beginning of the game,
and all the people I've talked to that have played it have told me that what was playable seemed to them to be a "demo build" of segments from the begining of the game, and not the the actual finished build of the full game.
I have a few contacts, fellow students that I went to college with whom were enrolled in the Game Art/Production and Design Program and are either graduates or still at college with me at the college I am currently enrolled in.
They are now working for THQ, two I know work for Square Enix, and and two other I know now work at EA QA, and they've along with a group of current fellow students attended E3 2010.
I've talked with my fellow students and recent graduates about their experiences, and also I used to worked as a beta tester for games and other software in the past.
First I worked for for Bleem Inc.
(out of business unfortunately.. long story),
and I have tested software for other indie software developers as well.
So I have some familiarity with some things regarding a game and or computer software development cycle but not all forms of it,
I'm not saying I know everything either and I don't know how individual work flow schedules or production schedules are handled for *all* development teams, QA teams at every major publishers.
I do have some familiarity with it to some degree having formerly been a software tester.
I was giving a general *guess* based on what I've seen of the game so far in live video footage on various sites so, and the experiences of my aquaintences that were at E3, told to me by those aquiatences that have played the game demo at E3 first hand.
I wasn't implying or saying "oh it's definately an early build".
So really, there was no need to bite my head off with that "admit you don't know what your talking about" comment. That was uncalled for.
I was saying it appears to be a demo build and all my contacts I recently messaged or chatted with that played it are telling me what they played sure seemed like a "demo build" to them.

Yes, this is true. I sometimes take for granted how much work it takes to make video games these days, and how much skill is involved with creating models and animating them. Once you reach the "major leagues," though, I have some expectations for quality... as I'm hoping by then, they've almost mastered their craft fairly well (though, I know it still does take a LOT of work!)abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

yep. I've been attempting to learn Maya and Mudbox..
Here's my first attempt at a modelling and texturing a character with an enviroment using 3D Studio Max.
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_QdyNCoYf7Mc/SnI7wIzGQmI/AAAAAAAAABE/hxWIJ1wWMWQ/s400/Space_SceneFINALCOMP01.png I'm trying to find a way to improve using that program and then learn the others. It's really tough for me since I'm more of a traditional 2-D artist.
One of the most difficult things for me so far is modeling human type characters and rigging them, 3-D enviroments and even texturing all pose their own challenges as well.
But modeling a humanoid figure and rigging and key framing a walk cycle, omg it's so very very nerve wracking for me. "The film is about finding human connection in an increasingly digital world." - Joseph Kosinski

I was not "biting your head off", merely pointing out that you really have no clue what you are talking about. Your gaming school/tester friends and Bleem experience really don't provide as much perspective as you might think.
Just accept this one little factoid will ya?
It's a demo of the latest code they have for TRON Evolution. Can we all agree on that?
Now, if we all agree on that, then we can get to talking about what we saw when we played the demo hands on at E3.
What I saw, and what my other friends/co-workers in the industry saw, was not encouraging.
It's pretty, but considering where it ought to be in it's cycle (no pun intended), it's not looking very exciting.
It had a repetitive, flat quality. It wasn't looking very polished for something nearing it's final stages.
I too have high hopes for it, and hope to heck I am wrong in my professional estimation, but my view is borne out by multiple other professional opinions shared with me at E3 and the comments of many gamers I have read here and elsewhere.
Maybe Disney will surprise the hell out of all of us and release an amazing game with features they held back from showing us at E3. Maybe, but considering I worked for these people for nearly 10 years in their ever changing video games division, I have my doubts too. DaveTRON

In my opinion, from what I've seen from several videos of the game's demo, and then discussed with my contacts
what they've said is that some of them enjoyed the demo, some were kind of indifferent. It's all a matter of opinion.
I think from what I've seen it looks fairly promising to maybe being a solid game (even if aspects of it are straightfoward, and perhaps somewhat derivitive.)
I'm not expecting a masterpiece, I am hoping for at least a solid and overall fun game.
I enjoyed Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, and T:E reminds me of it alot,
so yeah it's not all "original" or "amazing", but I like that style of gameplay and don't mind that it incoperates aspects of other 3rd person action games.
Still it's all a matter of opinions, and often one's own preferances.
