Virtually none of the Walmarts in my area have Tron toys, but I found one yesterday and lo and behold, they had the Clu lightcycle. As shown in the picture, one of the sides of the box denotes it as Sam's, which is clearly wrong.
Outside of the 12" Clu which I'm still hoping to find (the Pop Up Shop didn't have it when I was there about a month back during a trip to CA), I've seen most of the S2 stuff scattered over the various Targets I've been to. None has had everything, but I've definitely seen the S2 figures (sans Castor like everyone else), the jet, the other identity discs, and the die casts.

Not sure there's an obvious way to tell the difference between the three-pack I got and this new three-pack with the Recognizer variant though. | Hi jonwes. So this is still Series 1 stuff? and there's a difference in the 3 pack of diecasts concerning the Recognizer?? Wo.... Wonder if there is a SKU difference? |
Still Series 1. I remember Wheat King saying the Reco was supposed to be a variant in the 3-pack, but when I got mine it was the same Recognizer! So it seems to be a running change. Maybe they actually packed the wrong one in earlier shipments. I was trying to find a pic of the new variant online but I can't. I didn't buy it again because besides the Recognizer all the other vehicles are unique and I didn't want more than one. But, basically, there are extra vertical stripes and markings on it.
Onto that Disney Store exclusive, I asked Disneystore.com (US) if they were carrying it and they confirmed they were not. They said I could try one of their retail locations at Disney World or Disneyland but they didn't know if they'd sell it or not. The fact that it's spelled "Recogniser" on the box makes me think it might be a UK exclusive.
|
Bummer - my kid would love a larger scale recognizer along with myself : )
Getting it from the UK would price me out of a purchase = exchange rate + shipping costs + some profit for the nice person to do all this.
Guess I'll have to pray for a US release at this rate...
BTW - I'm sure I'm the last person to realize this - but the deluxe ID discs in Interactive mode actually light up and make different sounds when you bump them on something. I hate to bang up an deluxe id disc like this, but anyone notice this?

Ok, to all my fellow programs who PM'd me about Recognizer sets, i'm afraid i cant say right now whether i have the time or money to send these out. I will say though that i will at least check with my local Mail service as to how much it would cost to send one out. Fed EX seems to be too pricey so i would if anything probably use UK Royal Mail's international service. A rough example is basically:
Recognizer Set = £25
Shipping to US (weight 1kg) = approx £20 (tracking but non signed for).
So thats £45 exchange to USD = approx 70 dollars.
That seems like quite a bit so i dont know whether it would be worth it for anyone. Anyway, like i said, i will check with the local sorting office....
Please appreciate that i work shift and long hours so may take me till friday to find out. Sorry to dissapoint anyone but right now thats the best i can do in regards to the Recognizer sets. If any other fellow UK programs/ conscripts have more time and money on their hands, perhaps they can offer some help for you guys on the subject..?

List price on the vehicles is about $20, but right now are generally on sale for about $13. The core 3 and 4 inch sized figures depending on where you go are $10 or less.

Yep, Light Cycles, Light Jets and a few other things including the deluxe figures are all on sale. Nice deal. I got a second Light Jet (and it was actually in good shape!) for Rinzler.
Also, since my Target has failed to get Series 2 Core figures in, I took a chance and went to Meijer. And they had them! Got a replacement for my bum Quorra and Clu and Rinzler with better paint jobs.

BYW, Target has the identity discs, lightcycle track playset, light baton launcher, and the light cycles on sale this week for 13.99
Also, will there be no series 3? I've heard they might use this for the video game series, but the fact that they released everything except Castor before the end of the fiscal year might ean the line has ended? Maybe the fact we have not seen Castor yet is because we might never see him released? |
If you read around this thread, and a few pages back, Wheat King (designer at Spinmaster) already confirmed that Castor was held back from series 2 at the last minute. That doesn't mean he's not coming out, just not in series 2. Wheat also confirmed a helmetless head sculpt for another Quorra figure, so there's hope for this line.

Might've been talking about for the Core figures. I'd love to see that. Someone a few pages back mentioned seeing a 3-Man Light Jet that was far more expensive than a diecast would be in the computer system where they worked. I'd love to see that for the Core figures.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I picked up a Kevin Flynn disk and the LAST Rinzler identity disk, along with a Kevin Flynn light cycle, at Target today thanks to that price cut. They had tons of the cycles, batons, core and 6" figures. Even the Flynn disks were in healthy supply. I live in a small town, so for those of you searching for these items, don't resort to Ebay just yet!
Why use Norton AV or AVG to protect your computer when you could be using TRON instead!? |

Re: 3 Man Light Jet for the core figures
Last time I called SM a few months back to ask about the 1 man light jet for the core figures the rep said they had a 1 man and a 3 man light jet coming out, but wouldn't say anything more. Now I don't know if she meant the diecasts, but I did specifically ask about the core vehicles and never mentioned the diecasts. Time will tell. Remember, Wheat also said to take what the SM reps say with a grain of salt as they do not always have correct info.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Went to my local Target again today. Again, they had NO series 2 stuff. They had restocked their series 1 stuff, but no series 2 at all. So...I dunno. I guess I'll have to go several hundred miles away to find these.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
