Ok So I was thinking of start some kind of arcade slash bar place.
With music, lights, tron like decorations and of course VIDEO games!

I really have this dream to make i guess Tron based Dave and Busters arcade place.

But if I can not reach that dream. I at least want to convert my house into a Tron world. With blue lights along the walls and Tron music and Journey playing. i want to get some old school arcades in here. And then some beer.

What do you think?: Does this sound crazy? have any of you done it?

The big question is...who would you cater to? Bar would suggest adults. Arcade would suggest kids. If the latter, it seems to me to be at best annoying for adult patrons, and at worst a legal nightmare, to have kids running around in a bar type atmosphere. If the former, you'd probably have a lot of people who assume arcade=kid place trying to drag kids in there all the time (but if there WEREN'T kids, you'd have a lot of happy adults who'd be glad to play arcade games without getting dirty looks for taking up game time rather than letting the kidlets play nonstop). Or would it be one of those things where the arcade's in a bit of a different area and the adults bring their kids and go drink while the kids play games in the back?

Nitpicky maybe, and I gotta apologize for the rant, but I'm one of those people who likes that there are places I can go that are considered adult-type places (or SHOULD be, like bars and coffee shops and R-rated movies and such) where I can get away from screaming and whining and watching what I say/do for a while, and so tends to get a bit sore when I'm at an expensive restaurant where I went precisely for peace and quiet and there's a newborn screaming at the next table over... a lot of people I know don't take kindly to children in bars where they wish to be able to drink like fish and swear like sailors and tell racy jokes (not that I know ANYBODY who would EVER want to do any of those things...um...). And unfortunately I also know a lot of people who've found out the hard way that some things are considered traditionally "for kids" and there is hell to pay if an adult wishes to partake... I think an arcade bar would be great, but not if Kyeleigh's mommy is glaring at me from across the room because I'm swigging vodka at the skee-ball and keeping Kyeleigh from playing (or worse, expecting me to keep an eye on Kyeleigh because I happen to be there).
