I have a "Corran Horn" head on my desk waiting for this figure to come in.
A "Battle Damaged" Black Guard as well:
I checked the Rinzler model numbers and the original is: 20034597
The new "Redeemed version" (Blue) has: 20038474
Also just to double check the "Deluxe version" is: 20034604
And just to be thorough:
The original Black Guard is: 20034598
The Damaged version is: 20038847
Deluxe BG: 20034603

Interesting that it will still be sold as "Rinzler". I was hoping for an actual "TRON" figure. Even if they don't show Bruce's face beneath the helmet.
Why use Norton AV or AVG to protect your computer when you could be using TRON instead!?

I'd expect that as part of series 3, considering Tron was never seen with a helmet in Evolution.

Hmmm, I wonder if they are really that glossy or if its just for photos. I hope the damaged part of the Black Guard lights up too. I'm thinking this is more like series 2.5, since series 3 is supposed to focus more on characters from the games. Sam was never in the games unless you count multiplayer skins.

Most of the front torso of the BG figure (+) is made of orange translucent plastic so
I imagine it does a decent effect of lighing all the damage.

Also, is it me or does it look like they fixed the hands? Look at Sam and Tron, they seem to be holding them quite well.

I'm not entirely sold on the glossy finish, but if the paint quality is actually improved I would definitely like to get some more of those. Don't want to get in any sort of tiff or anything... but it's amazon. They own most of the storage of the internet at large. :lol If Amazon cared about bandwidth jacking, they would block it. Pure and simple.

I'm with the ones who are hesitant about those pictures being what they will actually look like in stores. I will have to see the Sam repaint with my own eyes to judge whether I will buy him or not. Same thing for the Tron figure. I think it's cool that the line is doing well enough to GET repaints. That means Spinmaster feels the line has longevity and needs to get more product out. It's a good sign.

You know, I like the shinier versions of the figures better. I hope they fixed a bit of the articulation as well.

I have newer un-opened Sam Flynn around here somewhere and the helmet
is much cleaner and the paint job is better. Maybe I should check his model
number (and fingers...). I picked him up to see about doing a mod to make
his Disc-War opponent.
If my recent delivery is any indication, then I should have my package from the
Disney store tomorrow. I will post my findings on the repaint question.
