I played through Evolution too, but I never thought about that. The way the world is, it actually seems like they don't have any other form of communication other that face to face. In the movie, they are never shown telecommunicating to each other so it leads me to believe they just don't.

Hmmm that is interesting to think about. Good point about them only being shown talking only face to face. I think it could be possible they have some sort of cross wire communication. Maybe no telepathy per say, but seeing how they are living in a place run off pure energy and electricity, could be possible.

I have only seen Legacy once, but doesn't Castor signal Clu or something? i mean he would have had to. and Sark talked to the MCP via some sort of communications.

I think Castor signaled CLU through the lights that came on around the tower after the change of music, because when CLU saw it from Flynn's hideout, he left immediately to go there. I don't really think they have any special sort of communication like telepathy.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, you are forgetting the original Tron.
Flynn puts CLU 1 into the computer, and communicates with CLU 1 in the tank ("No 'buts' CLU, those are for users)
They can communicate without I/O Towers, somehow.
Also, in Sark's carrier, he communicates with the MCP while on-ship.

LWSrocks Wrote:Well, I think they have some sort of videochat system... and when Flynn was talking to Clu I think that was just a way of projecting to people who dont understand code that he was putting code into the computer that "encouraged him" (when it wasn't actually, physically encouraging a physical proram, it was typing code into the system that enabled to program to hack into a server and recover data.)
The grid isn't an actual, physical world- it's a personification of a computer's functions. |
It may seem like that, it did to me.
But, CLU Says "Yes sir, but-" Here, Flynn interrupts him and says "No, buts CLU, those are for Users."
If he were typing code, it wouldn't be possible to interrupt his program, at least I think.

LWSrocks Wrote:Maybe there was an error- like, Flynn tried to type a code but it didn't go through- like he misspelled it or it was invalid. That was Clu's "Yes, but-" and him trying a different code was Flynn's (no buts clu, buts are for users) |

Hate to give a lame answer, but I think in the Tron movies, many things are dramatic representations of computer processes, so you have to just take liberties with what happens as the "rules" are frequently broken for dramatic effect.
Example - I always wondered why in the original movie, Sark does not de-res instantly when Tron hits him with the fatal disc shot to the head as every other program does.
Also, when you first meet Sark he is doing a light-cycle duel with a person playing a video game. The person is like "damn" when Sark 'beats' him and the blue program crashes his light cycle into Sark's lightwall. Video games in the 80's (and even now) were stand-alone units and would not have any connection to the Encom mainframe/grid so how could Sark be playing against someone in an arcade somewhere.
