Given the enthasis on how much the computer world has evolved between the two films (with TRON: Evolution also taken into account), and considering the visual style of that particular world (the environment, the vehicles & the programs that inhabit it), the big question I would like to ask is:
Visually, which of the two films do YOU personally prefer?
Both films each have their own distinct feel-the first represents the basic ‘arcade games’ feel of computers in the early eighties, with the graphics being very bright, very colourful, and with simple geometric designs.
Tron: Legacy, however, represents a much sleeker, more stylish version of a computer system, where the environment has a smooth, more elegant feel to it’s design (most notably the City).
If you were to include Evolution with Legacy (seeing how they are very similar to each other), which version of the Tron world would you prefer to live in/visit?

I loved both films. I love the original Tron a bit more, though.
I totally prefer the look of the old Tron world. I would not mind living in that world myself.

I'd say the original if the faces etc. were in colour, but they're not, so...

Visually, gotta go with Legacy. It's amazing looking. However I miss some of the old locales and attributes. Like the jai alai game, that would have been amazing in the new world.

Ooh, I think it'll be hard to get an objective answer on this one. I mean, when you consider that A. the original Tron world was very innovative for its time, and B. not to mention nostalgia (and a number of folks saw the original as kids, which just adds to the "wow" factor), a lot of people are going to be biased toward that one. On the other end of the spectrum, you will have folks like LWSRocks, who didn't see the original in all its glory, is looking at technology that was outdated probably before his parents were old enough to drink and sees it as too retro so will definitely prefer the new one...
What do you want? I'm busy.
