I know this could be pigeon holed into another thread but I think it's a big enough discovery that it deserves it's own thread, mods of you feel different then just move it.
Ross got tron figures, deluxe $8.99,

The Deluxe figures are still £15 (about $24) in the UK Disney store, but $9 in the US? and the 12" Sam is £40 (about $64) and $20 over there?

Clearance prices remember, regular 12" was $40 here, deluxe were around $15. I know it still doesn't make it fair.

I'm happy with the current line and it seems like it will be coming to an end. The new merch for the toon and the classic, the prez announced, could be anything, from just branded garbage to something promising. I concurr, probably something along the lines of ben 10 figures, oversized heads that are very toony.
I am excited about the classic stuff mentioned, that does give me hope but it better be something figure wise.

I didn't think the Deluxe or Ultimate figures were ever gonna be very good sellers, so this isn't very surprising to me. If they didn't have anything from the core line I'd say that's a good sign.

I wouldn't jump the gun just yet. First off we don't know what the animation style will even look like. And second, the toys don't have to reflect the style of animation used. I think Spinmasters best bet would be to keep the animated core line in the style of the current line regardless of what the animation looks like. If not they stand to lose buyers like yourself who wouldn't care for stylized versions of the characters.

Just got back from two area Ross stores and can confirm. I found one Deluxe Clu at $9 at one of the stores, the other store had nothing. No core figures or vehicles or anything, just the one deluxe figure. I'm going back out in a bit to see what else I can find.

I hit four other Ross stores and only found one other deluxe figure. Not sure what that means, if our stores haven't stocked up yet, or if they sold through the stock quickly. I'm almost inclined to believe the latter, as both the deluxe Sam and deluxe Clu were randomly placed on a shelf, not hanging up or anything. In fact I walked past the Clu once without seeing him.

Ross by my house has Ultimate Sam and Clu for $20 and 6 Deluxe Clu's for $9.

The one I checked only had one ultimate Sam and one ultimate Clu. As I've said it's not very surprising to me that these larger figures would end up clearenced, and that should have no bearing on the future of the core line.
