How cool would this have been to watch a catalog slide out of your Three man light jet box or any of the core vehicles ? You couldnt wait to play with the toy, but couldn't resist browsing through catalog first. This catalog would contain dioramas with figures and core vehicles lit up and amazing back drops with neon lights to give the excitement of being on the grid. This idea would definately attract the younger generation and of course us collectors.
Back in the days of collecting G.I. Joe, their playsets like the Hovercraft, Skystriker etc always had a small 3x5 toy catalog with all their products ususally around 5 pages or more. Of course the line has really grown over the years since I collected when I was a kid. It sure was neat looking through the dioramas and toys. Anyway if I was the manufacturer of Tron toys and I had a long running toy line, I think you would want a catalog to see what was available and what was coming out. This is just something I remember from the early days of playing/collecting.....sure was cool to browse the catalogs tho, just wish we had a bunch of Tron toys to fill that catalog dream.

I agree. I always loved the Kenner Star Wars toy catalogs. I always got excited to see the new toys and the neat displays. Spin Masters just didn't really seem like they gave a crap when it came to this line though. They just wanted to make a quick buck at the time of the movie's release and bail out.

If Kenner would have taken on the line they might have gave us an option to save the proof of purchases on the back of figure packages to score an early figure like "Castor" before his actual release.Then again I dont even know if they do that now but anyway we had some cool offers back then for Star Wars stuff.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I remember there being a taller Snaggletooth and a shorter guy who looked like Snaggletooth. However, after googling it it appears the smaller guy is Snaggletooth. There was a taller guy who was similar (not Bossk) but I can't find it. The 'taller Snaggletooth' that I remember was a full-size figure, and had a different name than Snaggletooth, he was a different character.

As far as mail-in SW figures, I remember getting Admiral Ackbar as a mail-in. Also had a few GI-Joe cool mai-ins.
I agree about the catalog, even the Sears catalog used to do this idea with various toys. It's a lot better than just looking at stark figures on the back of a card. Of course, there weren't nearly the 'playsets' to explore with Tron but they could have done something cool with the light cycles and jets.

Thanks for that link Dev, I had it backwards on Snaggletooth....been a long time since I saw those figures.
Sorry bout that Boba thought you might have known.....I did the 90's Kenner too at age 20.......Its all cool
