Anyone know if anyone makes them? Did stores have any, which I can imagine were plastic. When Clu takes his, it sounds like its metal. Just wondering if they're being made like people made cool lightsabers, rather than make due with the plastic ones.

They have batons that you put a diecast lightcycle in and it launches it. It's a pretty cheap toy thats fatter than it should be due to it being a launcher. I think Sideshow Collectibles might be working on a replica in the future. They mentioned making a replica for the disc at least but I think I remember them saying the baton too.

Shouldn't be to hard, I'll probably try two different versions. one non-Electronic Baton and one light up in specific colors like Blue, White, Yellow etc.

Yeah, the launcher toy is waaay too big.
As are the ones that come with the figures*, which seem scaled to the figures about the same as the toy launcher baton is to real people.
* = I'm OK with the Core ones being a bit oversized (since they'd be too tiny otherwise), but they deluxe and ultimate ones could have been a little smaller.

Yeah I saw the toy one on Amazon. I was thinking about those people who are very creative with duplicating film props with their own that are very real looking. I went to a Con ages ago and this guy had a lightsaber that had a neon blade. Not that you could smack things as it would crac, but when it lit up, wow.

I think it would have been cooler and made more sense if the baton toy had an extendable katana like a light saber, with the ability to connect two of them to make the double sided saber/staff. I could've sworn I saw a 1:1 replica of Castor's cane that lights up on eBay from China a couple of weeks ago, can't find it now, but did find this:

Someone in Asia was making replicas of Castor's cane. They were selling them on the RPF forums.
